I Forget the track now, but that actually happened to JEFF STANTON aboard his
TEAM HONDA CR 2 Fiddy at some track - I forget where. He took the parade lap
- felt something just not right and the mechanics fixed it before the moto.
Bolt on the linkage.
I really can't remember if it was on TV, or if I was there live - or I dreamed it,
but I'm pretty sure it went down like that.

Just kidding Charlie. That is too funny.
Thanks David - props to Michigan's Greg Bixby for that ferocious pic. 'Twas a pitbike race
at RED BUD 's night-track. Good times. Apologize again to TOM Z for wadding his
ultra-trick machine. 2006 ?
I was wrecking forever, the crowd seemed to enjoy it.
I did hear that CHAD REED was in the tower and witnessed the entire carnage.
Likened it to a sick kangaroo screwing a motor-home at a rap-concert.
Local fair race, not a ton of riders so they were racing the A and B classes together. My brother was in the A class and I was in B. Off the start he holeshot and I was in 4th or 5th. I passed the 2 or 3 A riders between us and somehow ran him down. Instead of being content winning my class, I decided i was going to beat him for the first time ever. It was a humid night and I was riding 3 classes, so my gloves were soaked in sweat. There was a poorly built whoop section everyone was jumping through because they were peaky. Well, 2 laps to go, I'm still right behind my brother and he's always sucked at whoops and i've always been good at them so somehow I convinced myself I could blitz the whoops. I remember getting my front tire even with his rear end when I entered, and I remember my wet glove slipping off the grip about the third whoop. Next thing I remember was telling the medic I was fine and my dad that I had gotten knocked out. Embarrassing because I had an easy win, but more embarrassing having to fess up to the older brother that i wasn't quite ready to beat him...yet!
My '98 RM125, I had cleaned the air filter and forgot to oil it before practice at the sandiest track in my district. Made it about two laps.
Pit Row
and yes women have raced in supercross in 74 superbowl of motocross and 78, 81, 82, 84, 86, and a full blown supercross and truck series in 1995. and in 83 dorene payne qualified to race supercross in the mens 250 class at san diego. she was in qualifying possition in the heat race and on the last lap, she crashed in the whoops and broke her femur.

I also NEVER ride my bike up a ramp to put it in my truck. I've seen too many idiots eat it trying to. I saw one guy completely miss the ramp and run straight into the back of his truck. I saw another hauling ass up to the ramp and when he went to hit the front brake the front tire got stuck on a triangle. He hit the front of the bed so hard he went over the bars, onto the roof of his truck, before sliding down the windshield onto the hood. I nearly pissed myself watching them. I will push it up the ramp.
As for embarrassing, I've run out of gas in more races than I care to remember. It has become my specialty.
