he’s 52 (strangely 1 year older than McGrath) and I was thinking the same. He used to be so stoic as a racer but he’s like this very well-spoken, super nice guy now and he hasn’t aged at all.

Carmichael was my hero growing up but he's just never going to have the personality to be enjoyable to listen to throughout the entire broadcast. Also combining different riders names together 3-4 times a race without even correcting himself. Idk man I enjoy him being a trackside reporter much more. He actually diminishes my excitement level during the race.
