Championship hangover and the streak is broken or nothing to lose and he totally shreds it to go undefeated?

Just stirring the pot for discussion.

As amazing as he has been all season, I think the most impressive of everything he has been doing is his starts.  He's wildly fast and even with a bad start, I could see him podiuming.  But if he gets a bad start or gets into some first turn crap and Chase holeshots, that's where I see him having trouble winning the race.  His starts have been damn near perfect all season and that has put him right there where he doesn't have to work as hard.  Honestly, its been incredible how good his starts have been.

I see it going how the rest of the season has gone so far. Sailing to a win

So technically, he claimed the championship undefeated. If he sat out the last 2 rounds, is it still a perfect season? He won the championship without losing a single moto.

Championship pressure (considering he even knows what pressure is) is off and he will absolutely go for it.

I really hope we see Chase and Dylan with good starts. Chase had a little more speed in moto 1 at Dilla but he cannot afford making any mistakes vs Jett, specially when coming into lappers, Jett handles that way better.

Dylan and Star apparently made big changes to the bike and it showed in moto 1, he was on a mission late in the moto, but sadly he had a horrendous start in moto 2. I think that version of Dylan can challenge the Honda boys.

Dylan won the overall at Budds in 2021 and one moto at Ironman, Chase won the overall at Ironman last year and one moto at Budds, so these are good tracks for them, but in the end it might me up to Jett if he allows them to play.

I think these last two rounds will be the most exciting ones in the 450. The possibility of a perfect season and if someone is able to beat Jett is probably more exciting than the championship this year.

Now the chip is done, Jett pulls over to the side of the track and lets Chase & Dylan in front, then gives it to them James Stewart style

Very likely will finish off the perfect season. I think Unadilla was the only track where Jett could've lost without crashing.

Wouldn't surprise me if these guys are back to SX testing already and all-in to win a playoff round against Jett.

When he was asked about going undefeated, he always said the c-ship was the goal. Now that he's reached that goal, the next one has to be going undefeated.

He’ll go undefeated. Same for SX.

He’ll get bored.

A perfect season means he wins every race of the season, which I predict he will accomplish. A “season” is 11 races. He needs to win all 11 to have a “perfect” season.

Its a little different now with the SMX championship to play for, there is not much to play for at the moment.  Sexton has been the only other rider to even get close to Jet, Dylan has also had a solid year.  But with these last 2 rounds of MX not meaning much I think most riders will play it safe, though I think jet does win out

Couldn't imagine coming this close to making history and saying screw it. He will be all in. Probably riding even harder/faster than he has the last few rounds to get the championship. It'll be fun to watch that's for sure.

That first bit... Pressure's off.

More than that, look at his personality in the media before or after a race in the past...   I'll bet he's laughing it up, calling Hunter his sister and just riding with zero weight on his shoulders.

On the other hand, I was bummed that Roczen didn't race 'Dilla, happy to see Ferandis catching his stride and I hope to see Dylan and Chase make Jett work for these next two races.   I'm not really rooting for any of these guys individually as much as I'm rooting for them to all get decent starts and have the battle of the year.   I really thought our best hope was Washougal...

Pressure's off and he can just race for fun, I think he's going to be the first premier class rookie to have a perfect season.

I think he will win out MX barring any really odd circumstances like a bike failure. I'd pump the brakes a little on him doing this in SX Wink

How do you know it means that? It's just assumed that you need to ride all the races to win the Cship. But if you don't need to ride them, you don't need to. So, in your season, you're undefeated in every moto. Perfect season if you only need to ride a portion of all the races. It's actually a more impressive stat  that you won that early and undefeated.

I want him to win out now he's gotten so close, obviously with a bit of a battle but in the end of like to see it done and a little history made again. So we get something interesting out of the class.

I like your premise but it's definitely not more impressive to win less motos. The more times you line up and win, the more impressive it is.

We have seen how fast he can go when Sexton has pushed him. They were gapping 3rd by 45sec. You think he can go even faster and chose to make it close with Chase?

Yes I think he's been going just fast enough to Force Chase into a mistake I think he's got a little more in the tank than he's been showing I would like to see it!
