So bitter and angry...Obviously you lost your sarcasm meter...sorry I got your panties in a wad...
You would think Yamaha being the only other OEM to make 2 strokes would have a larger presence in the 65/85/125 classes but guess they do well enough with their 250f that’s it’s not worth the resources
IMO, the YZ and KX need updating.
Still weird to see their minimal presence in the mini classes.
Would be cool to see an all new KX 65.
Have to get free bikes and travel expenses to race that turd. No one buying bikes is on a Kawi supermini.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Canyon Richards two DNF's while running up front. His engine's have been smoking all week. How does one of KTM's top riders not have good engine's.
They just 'updated' the YZ a couple of year ago didn't they?
They are good bikes at the local level because they're so durable. But from what I've been told is they've got a tight ceiling on how fast you can make them.
You are correct, the Kawa 85 and "super minis" are slugs. My son's bone stock KTM with only tire and rear sprocket change will wax the big wheeled green 112. It's sad to see that the Japanese bike mfgs really won't support the youth racers with anything that can be competitive in those classes.
Any update on Casey Cochran’s shoulder?
I was just asking myself this question today while watching a mini bike class. There were no Japanese manufacturers. When was the last time Suzuki was competitive in the 85 or supermini classes, 10 or 15 years ago?
The seemingly lack of Japanese manufacturers interest in the junior class of bikes is puzzling, considering that’s usually where brand allegiances are established.
Word is the first dnf was a cylinder stud that came loose.
Ya but look at Deegan, in the end kids will go to the best team or wherever they get an offer.
Are the Kawis not fast? So many fast kids recently rode them it seems like, AC, Forkner, Reynolds, Ryder. KTM/GAS/HUSKY step their motors up recently?
Also doesnt look like any, maybe 2, KTM 50s in peewee class, thats surprising. Are cobras that much faster?
To be honest, I have no idea why there is such a decline of KX riders in supermini. It's something that caught my eye. That's why I brought it up.
Those KX supermini have been dialed for years, and now they're almost non-existent.
Cobras have always had a big presence in the 50cc classes. If I remember correctly the Cobras are easier to work on or less prone to mechanicals.
Deegan rode KTMs all the way through the youth classes. He only changed to Japanese bikes when he went to big bikes and the Star offer was too good to turn down.
It's just that the KX's, YZ's and especially the RM's have not made any real changes in their mini bikes in 20 years. Sure Yamaha has made minor changes to the 85 and their 65 program is basically a mini version of their 85 platform but it is still an outdated bike compared to the Austrian brands. I would support Suzuki tomorrow if they would introduce a new 85 that could compete with the Euro bikes but it's not going to happen.
Yeah, I didn't bring up the RM because unfortunately Suzuki has been irrelevant for years in the mini classes.
It's a shame because they made great bikes.
No hydraulic clutch. KTM and GasGas both have them.
Smaller hands find the clutch pull on the Yam and Kawi too hard sometimes.
Also, the quality of the Kawi minis has not been up to the KTM brands for the last few years, and they are heavier bikes.

It’s bananas to see how many current or recently retired pros were on the Suzuki amateur train. It’s like they got that generation up to the pros and then just quit.
I get that, but Kawasaki used to spend a lot of money snatching up a whole bunch of fast kids in those classes, and now that seems to have gone out the window.
Does Kawi just not want to spend money or do kids just not want to ride for them? Maybe both.
Back in the day Suzuki had a lot of kick ass fast kids running their 80s/85s and they were all proud to be in the RM Army. It would be awesome if they could bring back that Suzuki pride in the kids. Sadly, they wont.
Yeah but that only applies to a couple of kids at best. I’m referring to the ones that will actually buy their own bikes for the rest of their riding lives.
It’s been one of the ingredients to KTM’s exponential growth over the past two decades- they went into the small bikes hard, and now look how many of those kids continue to ride orange as adults.
The stock Kawi suspension is bad on the mini bikes from what I hear at the track. Limit adjustments available. As a Kawasaki homer it sucks but only fast kids on green ride for team green.
630am +30 moto. I'm up earlier everyday for work but damn that's early to put down an intense moto!
Whats the difference between super mini 1 and 2?
I have to wonder if Kawasaki is looked at the money they spent on all the kids like AF, AC, Reynolds, Ryder D and many others and just decided it wasn’t worth doing anymore on anything other than big bikes.
That hurts....but you're right
You mean like ac and Anderson now?
