don't fall for all the aluminum frame hype.
KTM made one of the lightest frames last year out of steel - and steel isn't has rigid as aluminum.... sometimes you need a little flex. There is a reason they keep the steel frame.

Whats the deal with the Dear head and the cross on the Jagermeister logo ??

Do they have some weird religion where they pray to the stag or something ???
It goes back to the founder of Jaegermeister who was out hunting and saw the spirit of a stag in front of him the one moment and it vanished the next. This drink Jagermeister was a hunters drink that he was inspired to blend after that incident, so in the winter time of Germany its the hunters drink. Thats what i have learned, could be wrong though!

Of course the deer vanished...He drank beyond his limit.

Sweet bike. Curious to see how it fairs with the 450's outdoors.

Nice photos GuyB, so Alessi is in an Airoh helmet this year? Wonder what they feel like. Are they going to be in the States now?

Yep, he'll be in an Airoh. They're still really hard to find here.

That is by far the trickest KTM I've never seen. Check out how low the gas tank rides on the frame.

I like the 350 idea, You can ride it to its potential easier than a 450, not like I have that ability. It would be like the 250 2T to a 500 2T. That's what I would think.

The Bike looks killer and I hope Mike does well this year but,,,, I still cant see how that bike is going to be able to run with a 450. Power to weight ratio just doesnt add up to me.
I know its lighter but it cant be more then what, 10 pounds. Maybe Im way off. We will see.

Airoh is the lightest helmet I've had. And I have had arai, shoei, hjc and fox helmets in the past. They fit very well and you can even forget you have it on after a while of riding.

I can find them if your intrested in them, let me know.

He was here a couple of weeks ago racing a Pro Am at Cycle Ranch, and he didn't get the holeshot as usual. He was riding the 450, hope he can get the 350 to holeshot in the Nationals.

The starting gates at Cycle Ranch are concrete, so Mike was not able to launch himself as usual. However, once he broke loose, he was 13 seconds faster per lap than everyone else in the park.

I am still not convinced that KTM will have the bike in production and have it be legal for the nationals. If he shows up on one at Hagntown then I will believe.

That is unless KTM somehow is able to bend the rules again the way they reportedly did with the 250SXF.

I'd consider it the second year out. I've yet to have a great experience in first year bikes, the few i've owned.

Right story line, wrong fellow. The Deer actually appeared in front of Saint Hurburtus (or something like that) and converted him to Christianity. He became the patron saint to all hunters.

If I ever convert to a thumper, the 350 is probably right where I would want to be.

I don't see how it will be legal to race. They have to have the right unit numbers in the US and in the warehouse right?

KTM used their production rule exemption way back in '97 in SX with Lance Smail didn't they? Same as Yamaha with Henry, and Honda with Hughes in 01.

Anyway the bike looks awesome, I think it's advantages would be more indoor and outside being down on power isn't going to cut it at the National level. This bike could have tremendous potential for local guys and Amateur/Vet racing.
