Greeley Colorado (outdoors) for years was a great venue that drew National caliber pro's and was a good amature/ spectater race experience. good times

I’ve always wondered if arenacross could strike some deals with colleges to use their stadiums. I don’t know the first thing about getting a stadium signed up to hold a race, I just know every podunk town in the south has multi million dollar stadiums used a dozen times a year.

But honestly any basketball/hockey type arena has a cool feel walking around the venue just in terms of it feeling more professional. The counter to that is I absolutely love the track builds in the bigger rodeo/livestock arenas. Guthrie 1 had a longer lap time than the supercross that same weekend!

Going back to the Feld days there were two that stood out. Baltimore was awesome. They utilized their iconic stage (you started on the stage and dropped in, and the sweeper before the whoops went up and over it.), plus all the “wheelie boy crowd” this board loves to hate absolutely LOVED the racing. It was a much more diverse crowd, and they packed the stands and every block pass, and yes, wheelie, was met with cheers. The Cedar Park arena (outside of Round Rock/Austin TX) because it was a very nice building and the hockey arena left the dasher boards in. You could slingshot around the first turn up against the boards to enter the next section with a ton of speed. The downside was the turnout was practically non-existent for spectators.

I think ultimately it comes down to two things. What venue will allow you to continue to build tracks outside of the generic double horseshoe layout, and what market is going to have a good crowd turnout. The changes to the format with 1v1+1 and the fans being able to sponsor riders has made the racing a much more immersive experience. A good fan turnout can lead to riders making a significantly bigger envelope if they play their cards right. If you consider yourself a fan of any form of dirt scooter racing, you should really check out the arenacross series.

Doubt they could afford a college stadium, but there are some pretty nice high school football stadiums that would be awesome.   Since youre a fellow-Texas...

Since youre a fellow-Texas, i've always thought the coolest thing ever would be to have an arenacross during the State Fair in the Fair Park Coliseum

Oh man, the power of vital.

Not the right date, and im pretty sure its the competing AX series, but at least its the venue I wanted to see Laughing

New Haven Coliseum in New Haven, Ct. I'll never forget begging my parents to take my brother and I. I recorded the commercial on vhs tape and would rewind and replay it so much just for my own enjoyment. It ended up breaking the VCR. My parents said no, then one day my pops took me and my brother out and said we were just going to grab dinner. But he kept driving past the pizza place and next thing i know we're in the car for an hour and we pulled up to the coliseum. Holy hell it still gives me chills 30 some odd years later. One of the best memories of my life.

The Hartford civic center (now the XL center) used to have monster jam which also had arena cross and those transformer robot dragon things. That was pretty cool, but nothing like seeing Buddy antunez and the top AX guys. Back then it seemed like AX was just as good as SX, was just for smaller venues.

The Mohegan sun arena in Uncasville, Ct would be a great place for it, would be huge IMO. I'm not sure why it hasn't happened yet. I can only assume either no one has tried or the casino would say no for some reason.

Prescott.  Can't wait for the next race there.

Des Moines was the A1 of AX for years and always packed.

I like the bigger rodeo arenas the series has been visiting.

Always went to the round in Cincinnati. Toledo sports arena was always fun. The Huntington Center in Toledo doesn't have the same vibe. How many remember the Arenacross series at the Ohio State fairgrounds? Ohio used to really put out a lot of arenacross talent.

3 biggest AX races rt there. Rockford was always sold out. I went to Milwaukee twice . It was really exciting in the late 90,s. 1st chance to see the new bikes was on a AX track.

Will Rogers Coliseum. Lots of history there. Honorable mention to Guthrie, for the massive floor space.

I can still smell the premix and feel my eyes burning from being in there. It was awesome!!

I go past that arena a lot . Last fri Ct. traffic was brutal 7 hrs+  on i84.  Rad Chad Johnson,s 1st win was in Hartford on a TUF Honda 2000 cr125.
