As a recent champion in 450MX he is an elite rider and it is understandable he not compromise on salary. Yes, he has underperformed in the circus (450SX) but it would be a bummer if a top 3 rider were to leave the US series.

Also as an past champion he can complain about his bike setup. He has the proven ability.

Pourcel was left without ride after great 250 career and needed to race MXGP with his own team before making back to factory rides.

He's a better MX rider than a SX rider, going back to MXGP would be great, he would be in the top 3 In my opinion, but.... In which bike? There are not any factory bikes available in Europe, Yamaha is full with Renaux and Geerts, Kawi with Febvre and Seewer? Honda with TiGa and Rubén, KTM group is full with Herlings, Prado and Guadanini.

Dylan's case shows how important is for US Teams Supercross is, since he moved up to the 450 class Dylan SX career has been underwhelming compared to his MX career

That's probably why teams don't go after Master P.

Thought originally left mxgp because teams got tired of working with him. Difficult to work with was the main reason I thought was said.

wSX is the equivalent of Wal-Mart moving into a community that puts mom and pop places out of business.    But hey....it's all about the money right?

Thankfully, wSX looks to be tanking hard.

So you reckon that because we can only watch SX on tv, we will all stop buying bikes and riding ourselves?

seems legit..

Ktm has plenty of money to start with two riders in mxgp

You say KTM group is full, but KTM only has 1 rider and Husqvarna has none. That doesn't sound full, unless they just aren't wanting to invest in that series.

I think a couple of years ago the Pierer Group said they were cutting budget to Moto and off road in order to invest more in road racing, maybe that's why there is no 450 Husq team in MXGP and only 2 450 riders, Prado and Herlings?

Pourcel was almost a 250MX national champ but never a contender for 450MX national champ (5th in 2015).

Dylan is both.  They are not the same.

I like DF but possibly the reason he's got no offers for next season is he is that he repeatedly blames the bike?? I like that hes honest. It's great. Whatever. But let face it teams don't like their riders talking badly about their own bikes. There's a reason why some riders who don't perform keep getting factory rides. They're happy to tow the line and represent the team well.

I like Ferrandis too, and I know the spin Honda put on Roczen leaving had (they say) 100% to do with him doing WSX no matter what...but I've got a feeling that him whining about the bike as much as he did had a little to do with it too. I bet nobody shed a tear when he left. OEM's want riders to sing praises about their bikes...even if they suck.

Yeah man although I don't necessarily agree I can understand where the teams are coming from. I don't like the cookie cutter robot podium interviews but if you're paying a rider heaps, he's get on the podium, you want him to be happy and praise the team/bike etc? But they're up there all grumpy? I can see how sponsors wouldn't be impressed with that.

Unfortunately as a professional athlete you've got represent your sponsors well at all the times regardless of your results or personal situation.

Whether this is a reason why he doesn't have anything lined up for next season who knows

We won’t stop.
But what about the next generations in 10 or 20 years time.

That is the exact same as I was told.

Hutten would be taking over the MX2 team, and Kemea would take the MXGP team.

Another example of a rider parting ways with his quality trainer (DV12) and going from great to good (quickly.)

The Hoff may be retiring, he was going to call it quits this season but changed his mind.

his contract is up this year.
