He's sitting at #64 right now after High Point, although may drop some numbers with him not racing outdoors yet this season. Haven't heard if he plans to race any either.

Tom Vialle (what number would he choose??)

The only way he gets to choose a number is if he wins the 250 outdoor title or ends up top 10 in combined points.

So if deegan ends up top 10 combined he can pick the 38?

I like the 238.  Dude can go nuclear on people and it fit. Better than the whole Dnagerboi thing that's run its course IMHO. Surprised more people don't run that 238#.

He can't pick 238. He would have to pick a 2 digit number and there is no way he picks any number other than 38 with all of his marketing and his dad involvement

Alessi was grandfathered in.

You can no longer choose a 3-digit career number.

Is there something notable about #238 that would lead others to pick it?

Heard Jett's new number is going to be #1 450 outdoors in 2024

Nothing related to moto.  When I think of the #238, I think of Uranium.  Uranium 238 is the most common isotope of Uranium.  It can be used in fuel cells and various forms of military ammunition.  I'm a nerd.  Sorry.

Deegan appears to be the only one a lock to get a career number(who doesn’t currently have one).

levi has a chance as well with Eli out the rest of the year.

I'm pretty sure he would choose # 38 if given a choice.

I really Hope that at some point in my lifetime they do away with the permanent number system,  I can't stand it personally,  It benefits Very few people,

(The people that need it the least also)

Meanwhile if a privateer has a kick ass year he can't run the number he earns.

Not to mention it would be so much easier for casual fans to understand that the last year's champ is number one #2 got 2nd #3  third do that all the way through,  so it would be very easy to see and root for A higher number running up front!'

Die hard fans would figure out who's who real quick!

Still no confirmation on if they'll count the SMX playoff points or not.

With his amateur number being 47 that shocks me. Last he told me was he was gonna get 47 When he had the chance. That was a while back though.

I assumed this was a joke based on his girlfriends age

Jalek Swoll is currently #38 is he choosing a different number or can Deegan just take it finishing higher in the championship?

Ah I see, I’m unsure of how that works. Is it just a number given to him? What is a career number, is that just a number a rider has used for a long time? Might be a dumb question sorry, I’ve never thought much about riders numbers except what they’ve had on their bike.

Even if someone had the #38, I would assume they would try to purchase it. Wouldn't be the 1st or last time that has happened.

You get to pick a number that you can use for the rest of your career if you finish in the top ten in combined points for a season

If you are outside the top ten but in the top 100, you get the lowest number available assigned to you for the year, based on how you rank in that top 100
