Actually, as I never want a rider to crash or have a mechanical failure, I hope James gets midpack starts or further back more often than not. Not that I want to see him lose (or win), just love to watch a guy like that slice through the pack at turbo speed.
RV just might hang it out enough to make it interesting... He's shown that he can step it up, so, IMO, we will be seeing some racing for the top spot.

Just answering
It depends on if Reed can find that "edge" and ride on it like James does.
Should be a great season!
If you're gonna have a bad race, A1 was the race to do it at.
Reed will suprise alot of you this year. Dont be suprised when Dungey wins one either.
Stewart on the top step...then a fight for the last podium positions between RV/RD/CR/JG/JB and maybe a Millsaps showing. Of course, it all depends on who goes down on the starts too. Heck, poor Shorty, where does he come in at? or Tommy Hahn? Coming through the pack won't be as easy as it has been in previous years.
But to answer the OP's question... No One. He'll retire (in 4-5 yrs or so?) before someone can challenge him.
Pit Row
Just saying of course!!!
As for Seattle...didn't JS get caught up in the back(fall?) BUT still rail towards the front? Who had the fastest lap?
Not dissin' anyone...just happened to be there.
RV could do it. He'll have to go a helluva lot faster than he has been to win "it"...
Dungey? Have you seen him on a 450?
Reed? Will he lay it ALL out there?
Grant? Can he race his way past the others?
Barcia...Barcia on a 450...someday...that kid is FAST...whereas I don't think Pourcel will be able to hang on to the 450...
This is true... but, that didn't start until AFTER, JS blew the rhythm section and RV blew past him... then Reed caught JS after a poor start and the games began.
No, James didn't have to beat RV, that's not the point, the point is that RV was showing some speed at the end of the year, once he got healthy... I think that is why some people are excited for this year.
Stewart KNEW that Reed was going to try something dirty and take him out... and was just letting Reed go by.
5th Bubba
4th Grant
3rd RV
2nd Dungey
1st Reed (who has 7 secs over Dungey)
Hopefully scenarios like that will prove to be a harder nut to crack for Bubba compared to last year when he effortlessly blasts by everyone upto 2nd, then has a clear track and finally meets some resistance when he catches up to Reed. Hopefully that 20 sec gap they both had on everyone will be a bit more congested and competitive.
Do wish Pourcel was in the mix too! For some reason could see him getting in Bubba's head with his calmness and 'craftyness'.
Starts will be everything in 2010. Seeing how stacked the 450's are this year if you get an outa the top 5 start it's goner make your run too the front tough, maybe even for James. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, 2010 SX is goner be awesome.
