He has no reason to race other then purely having the desire to. Clearly he doesn’t need the fame or fortune especially marrying into a rich family. Hopefully his fiancé isn’t leaning on him to quit.
The source for this is where?
Looks like his Mechanic (Daniel Castloo) is stepping away as well.
Think it's actually his mechanic Daniel Castloo.

Hopefully with time and healing that competitive bug will be back and he'll stay. The series is better with him in it.
How wealthy is his father in law? Must be nice!
Where did you see this
His mechanic Castloo is stepping away, not Cooper.
I don’t see anything saying Justin is steppi g away
probably Kooksy haha
Still amazes me people believe anything that moron says lol He in wrong time and time again. Weather man is more accurate than him
OP’s reading comprehension is lacking. Social Scoop has an IG post from Cooper’s mechanic announcing he’s leaving the sport, not Cooper.
In Social Scoop.
With a little misunderstanding.
Even though it may be fake news I would seriously see a point after he gets married where the father-in-law sits him down for a talk about quitting and making it worth his while. If he has a kid, there is probably zero chance he continues to race.
I'm not going to get involved in the inevitable back and forth on this.
I've always liked Justin.
And will forever be a fan after his des nations rides last year.
But, IMO he's always come across as someone whose heart really isn't into it.
Wouldn't be surprised at all if he decided to pursue other life goals.
Did not know we had people living on Mars already. 🙄
I can’t believe how many people lack reading comprehension. This is the second thread today of people thinking JCoop is retiring…
I was gonna say, in OP's defence this is the second thread today so it's not just him who took it the wrong way... the first thread seems to have gone missing 😂
Pit Row
Just because his soon to be father in law is loaded, I dont think that means hes done racing lol not to mention he has over a 6 figure salary before bonuses. I think hes making the most he could compared to a typical job at his age and his skills/experience. This forum continues to become more and more stupid each day lol
Wait, why is that stupid? He is soon to be married, I would assume he has money in the bank (his own), plus I'm sure his new bride is not hurting for cash. Maybe he doesn't want to put his body at risk anymore, maybe he starts a family right away. His priorities could change, I don't see the "Stupid" in any of those situations or comments.
It always makes me laugh reading the "his wife/father in law/family is wealthy, so obviously he's going to retire or blah blah blah.
I know plenty of people with wealthy families and/or parents, and most of them are the hardest working people I know. Almost like that hard-working mentality carries over. Weird, huh?
Granted I do understand the whole premise behind the assumption, just saying it's usually not the case.
Im not saying that if he retires its stupid. I am saying that the argument that has retiring because his girls dad has bank is stupid.
So basically....nothing to see here
The post in Social Scoop is odd because the pics from his mechanic are more of Justin than himself. I think that’s what has thrown people.
A lot of people do what they do not because they like it, but because they’re good at it, and it pays well. Especially in sports. RC was a prime example of someone driven to perform for the financial gain and ability to retire before 30. The racing and prep were necessary evils to attain those goals.
no one is confused besides the OP. The mechanic is going to post foreshadowing a riders retirement lol He posted pics of Justin and his bike because that was his rider and bike.
I’d be shocked to see him walk away. I know he really wanted this 250 championship. Didn’t ride the back half of SX to prepare for it. So it sucks this is how his season has gone.
Is J coops mechanic’s father in law loaded also?
WTF I could not even imagine having the conversation with my wife about "quitting my job because your daddy is loaded".
PS we are not loaded.
Buddy of mine said the same thing,"dude never seems to be stoked." I explained that unless you've spent time on Long Island, you wouldn't understand.
Don't sleep on JCoop, he is going to be around a long time.
