Should mosey over to ESPN soccernet or another international soccer board and take a look at what Thierry Henry is catching in he comments for his hand ball in the match that put France into the World Cup over Ireland yesterday. Makes it lookm like a light and gentle crowd here.

I still stand by my post from Matthes. Some of these kids could do with a little hard work, less complaints about message boards and what THEY get paid, goggle handlers and mechanics. You get a DOLLAR for what you consider fun, you are ahead of 90% of the rest of the world.
Dont like it, fire the Goggle handler - YOU ARE DIRECTLY in charge of that. Pay the Mechanic more, credit him on the podium, chances are he is more important in the communication of the track, your ego, your well being. It's HIS bike not yours, thank him for it.
Always liked Soccer. Good hard group of fans.
moto......pffftt......
Scary stuff.
I hate our version of football by the way

Easy-e, no doubt flopping is a cancer to the game

But again, the point being for better or worse sports fans brutalize the atheletes all over and the internet has made it worse. MX'ers get relative respect for the most part.
Yes Michael Henry is a very well respected player and has a huge fan base but this one is going to haunt him for a while, a long while maybe.
Pit Row
Soccer "fans" are crazy. A few years back an Argentinian player scored an own goal (not on purpose, it happens even to the best defenders) and he got killed when he went back home.
Anyway, that hand ball is only a big deal to Irish fans and a few French surrender monkeys. Players can start complaining the day they stop diving in the penalty box. Until then, they are all a bunch of cheats.
Presumed shot because of that 1994 World Cup own goal that made some of the Medellin drug lords to loose lots of money on bets, but also possible just victim of a bar fight as others were also shot/wounded in that same incident.
Pretty common celebration. If you mean at the end of the game, players will exchange jerseys. Sort of like if Everts and James had traded jerseys after the Matterly MXdN. Maybe there would have been less crap afterwards.
I don't think there was a lot of jersey swapping after the France Ireland match yesterday.
Don't worry that won't last long. Henry is now saying a replay is the fair thing to do. I am sure it's part of trying to save his rep. which I expect people want because they like him and his rep is trashed in that one instant. But it'd be shocking if a game happened.
Regarding to MX, I think the riders have it harder nowadays, as they are still pretty close to the fans, but the internet has taken it to a whole new level.
Post a reply to: Boy, any racer who thinks MX boards are tough on them
