Supply chain issues is currently a problem for all motorcycle manufacturers. Dealers can not even get parts to keep customers current bikes running.

KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS customers that have been ordering parts for 2023 models and waiting many many months and are still not getting the parts. Lots of them are warranty problems.

1 supply chain issue example …. Customers that have ordered hard parts spare wheels and are not receiving them. Those same wheels are used on the Star Varg so there Is 1 huge issue for Star getting build parts.

What does suck is those same parts customers have ordered KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS has had enough of the parts to build and supply dealers with the new 2024 models but customers are still waiting on their parts that they have already paid for.

I have been waiting on 1 part for close to 10 months.

That seems like a  questionable way of doing stuff  .  People have paid for in full or are making payments  and  paying interest on  , and have bikes they can not ride. If a big established brand Like KTM is having supply issues that has them pulling moves like that , its not crazy to think that Stark may have issues somewhere in the supply chain. And the issue in building bikes is not anything more than waiting on a small part of the bike. Like You said about the wheels.  If I had put a $100 down on a Varg ( and right now a Varg or similar bike would be the only MX bike I would think about buying ) , I would rather wait a little longer and not be making payments on or having paid in full for the bike , and then have a Stop ride order,or have it sitting after a part broke that I was unable to buy again. I don't blame Stark for not putting out much info on what is causing the delays. If it is a part from  another source , they may not want to  put that out there for whatever reason. Perhaps the supplier asked them not to, or  there are many reasons they may not want to or might not be able to.

I am guessing your post was not made to say to not trust KTM. But imagine if Stark  did something like this, the backlash they would get. And I would agree  in that case.  I hope that when Stark Varg's start showing up in larger numbers, that they are able to keep extra parts in stock. I think that as a new manufacturer they will be required to have X amount of parts available before they can sell the finished bike anyway. I think that applies to all manufacturers not just new ones. But it might be harder for a new one to get away with not having the spares.

It appears to be the case. But unless Stark puts out a list of deliveries , or somebody who has one makes that info public I don't know how anybody can say for sure. He is the only person who has publicly said that he has his.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound?   If a Varg is delivered , and nobody posts about it on social media , has it really been delivered?

My point was more that supply chain issues are everywhere and are still on going.

That's what I figured  and why I said that I did not think you were saying not to trust KTM.   And I was not meaning to sound like I was saying that KTM should not be trusted . More pointing out how people would go crazy if Stark did that.

As an engineer within Automotive R&D I find the current situation for Stark not surprising at all. When developing a completely new concept in a new organisation there are so many parameters affecting the ability to deliver the products. I would never buy the first year model of a new product generation from an established company. Now we have both a new company, new product in a new product category. Off course nothing will be smooth. I'm surprised so many people have put a deposit.

There’s a lot of love on the forum right now

If you didn't see on my IG, I let everyone know that i'm moving just outside of Nashville, TN. We leave CA this coming weekend. I havent posted content in a few weeks due to life being crazy busy at the moment; between work, planning for this move, and me battling a pretty nasty illness. I've had to prioritize life over youtube. I'll post more content after my wife and I get through the move.

BTW, looks like more customers are getting their final payment notices, which means the next batch of bikes will be in customers' hands within a month! Looking forward to seeing how other customers enjoy the bike.

Thanks for the update, hope the move goes smoothly and Your health improves.  I moved a few years ago. Both where I live and my biz. It was a lot of work and I only moved 45 minutes away.

I really hope some of the other Varg owners post some stuff about their bikes. I think that overall most people like the content you have provided and for the amount of views the threads get, the negative stuff is pretty limited.

Yup, i know. Definitely won't have the luxury of multiple premium MX tracks within an hour drive, but thats why i bought a new Sprinter. Wife and I plan on taking long weekends exploring new areas and riding new tracks in the surrounding states.

Man Tennessee is going to be full pretty soon! I liked it better when everyone just shit on the south from afar and had no idea what they were missing.... unfortunately the secret is out. Atlanta is full, Nashville is full, Birmingham and Huntsville are next to explode.

After you ride a few tracks in this part of the country you'll no longer think of the southern California tracks as premium. Quality over quantity! And owning your own piece of property and doing what you want with it is also a reality!

Welcome to TN.  Hopefully you are moving here for all of the right reasons the rest of us have.  If you ever want to hit any of the tracks on the east side of the state, hit me up.

Owning my own large property and have my own motocross track is part of the reason we're doing this move. Wifey already approved.Smile

If you don't already, give it a few months and you will think: "Why didn't I do this years ago"?

@theycallmeebryan. I’m going to try and head out to Pala on Saturday as well. I’ll come swing by if I make it out and scope the Varg in person.

Good luck with the move and the potential private track.  Dirt all over that area is prime!

Oh damn. Didn’t look at the date. Safe travels and happy trails.  Be sure to hit Monster Mountain when you take a road trip around the South.

Years ago When I lived in Madison / Nashville area I quickly learned about the winters getting ice instead of snow.
