I have not been a massive Dangerboy fan but his racing is definitely making me a fan, geez he is strong and determined! The first moto at Hangtown he owned it! Dangerboy's riding does all of the talking and he should let his riding do the talking but then he has to open his mouth on the podium talking about all of the doubters even talking about he was on super mini's year ago. I know the Deegans want to try and paint him as the best amateur turned pro that has been but he has definitely missed that yard stick by more than a dozen that came before him and all of them did not have the head start he had lets face it RV being born in Washington State and winning every single title he raced without injury (Except Canards Title). Jett Lawrence who grew up an hour from me trust me did not grow up racing half the calibre that the Deegans did, the dribble on the podium from Dangerboy talking about people doubting him you don't or have never heard from any other up and comer!!! He reads the tabloids too much!

No one cares.
Blah blah blah....
A great way to get people to stop talking about something so much is to engage them in an argument and give them yet another platform to talk about it.
Not a Deegan fan boy or a "hater" but I don't think there's an abundance of threads. He's doing surprisingly well, I figured he would be knocking on the top 5 with the occasional podium, but he is just straight up riding really well and didn't succumb to the usual pressure of a rookie leading a race with people breathing down his neck.
I expected him to do well. He's killing it. Not necessarily a fan of him but how can you not be impressed with what he's done this year?

I became a fan after that fat whip, first jump after the holeshot moto 1. Like AC222 last year.
He said in an interview that the only one who could start back in the pack and go to the front was Jett, and he “doesn’t have Jett speed yet.” I thought that was quite a sentence, he thinks he can be as fast as Jett was on a 250.
time to will tell.
He's going to get there and have a great career if he can avoid injury. The way these guys grind and push, no one is immune.
Deegan has grit. Something a lot of other racers don't have.
That first moto was by far and away the most impressive thing I have seen from the young man since turning pro. Simply fantastic riding. I would say that I think the best thing he could do to get rid of haters would be to back away from the social media schtick and lose the whole Dangerboy nickname. But clearly, he gets some of his drive and motivation from proving the haters wrong. So in essence, the haters are actually a good thing for the Dangerboi Luvas and Haiden himself, which makes the social media more of a shit show. In the end, the lovers vs haters is going to make him wealthy, so it is what it is. All drama aside, that was a great race for Haiden. Congrats.
That the best you got Floppa? DonM 😂🙈
The kid gets so much hate from people, I would cut him some slack on his comments on the podium regarding the doubters. That's just being petty.....
He gets plenty of love from people too, I have become a fan of his racing he is an animal on the track and you can see from how he attacks the track how much he wants to win. It is fun to watch.
The kid has Grit. One impressive rookie in my opinion. I think he'll have a great career if he stays healthy.
I’m indifferent on Deegan. Enjoy his racing and his personality for the most part. But when people mention haters or negative people on the podium it’s a little off putting. Of all the people to mention, people who doubt you should be the last people you mention. Say something about being grateful for your family’s support, making your parents proud, and fans support. Ignore people who don’t know you personally and generally negative people.
He’s free to say what he wants on the podium. Just find it odd when these guys give contrafans the time of day.
Deegan’s running about three or four spots higher than where I thought he’d be, it’s impressive. However, he has so many sketchy moments that a big one always looks possible. Hopefully he can tidy it up and stay in the mix all season long.
A young dude was kicking everyone’s ass & a lot of people complained that he was too cocky in the podium... I think he eventually ran number 4…for a while.
With all due respect, that comparison is WAY premature. He hasn't even won an overall or single SX main event. He's riding well, but let's not crown him as the next GOAT in the making.
this.
dont see any issue w/ haiden going after haters on the podium. everyone has emotions and sometimes you gotta let'r rip
Pit Row
You are obsessing far too much about the inner workings of a 17yo mind..........
And remember, the Lawrence's have said many times that the US amateur route is far inferior to the one that they chose for Jett and Hunter, so if that is true then Deegan should be at a huge disadvantage as compared to when the Lawrence boys entered the AMA circuit........
😂 Comedy hour.
He may have just graduated High School but his math is terrible I though he raced pro sport a year ago.He keeps repeating this.
Yeah, exactly the same except for all the World Championships.
I like Haiden Deegan.
I very much disliked ‘DangerBoy’.
It’s time that ‘Dangerboy’ is never mentioned again. Wedge said it at the start of Moto 1 last week… CRINGE!!
Deegan raced B class last year (‘22) …only moved to Pro-Sport after Loretta’s to get pro points.
…was Super Mini the year before (‘21)…moved to big bike after Loretta’s.
News flash to the people that just don't understand athletes. Sometimes you need to have a grudge. If you doubt that just listen to anything Michael Jordan has said since retiring or his Hall of Fame speech. If a guy like Jordan fed off the doubters, I think we can understand a dirt bike racer doing the same thing.
Yeah I think Deegan continuously gets a bad rap because of his dad. I don't think he is nearly as cocky as RC was/is. When they were living in NC and Haiden would be practicing at local tracks, he never seemed standoffish or snotty to the other kids riding. He actually made time to talk to some of the star struck groms and made their day for giving them a moment of his time. I think he will continue to get faster and if he avoids serious injuries will stack on a few championships before he is done.
Why do people keep using the word “hater”? No one “hates”.
Kids in school. Lol
