....and Roger DeCoster could have got a top 10 as Dungey's teammate.
I really wish he were racing this year. I think he'd have third pretty well locked down, and would do better with any material mistake from Chase or Jett. Love his style!
Definitely top 10's but I do not see him having DF14, AP7 or CW2 speed, and I believe they will all get even faster.

He could have smoked DF... last week anyways. 3rd place.
Lmfao 🤣 you kill me
I don’t know about smoking DF but beating Webb outdoors. No problem, beating an AP that can’t stop crashing is a possibility as well.
Absolutely. He was often right there by mid season last year so I think he could have beat Ferrandis who is just getting back to shape and finding his grove with the new bike set ups. Dungey is a bit like Reed, in term of riding style/race craft/sharp set ups/and riding within their limits so they were healthy most of the time. No matter what, I think he could still be within the top 10 of each championship in 2033 with probably the highest top 5 top 8 stats of all time as a semi retired. This year Reed would have finished top 10 in SX for sure for instance (* with good equipment). And I would even say that more or less the same applies to any multi time champ, they know how to get it done.

For the next 10 years? That would be one hell of a career. Yes I know what you meant. But it's funny!
“He was often there by mid season last year” that’s a heck of a leeway for a guy who was off all throughout SX. Dungey would have produced a lot of fun hype like last year and some top 5’s and possibly on the box if things go right. We will be getting some racers back soon.
Thinking Reed would have ended up top ten in SX this year shows how short memories live. No disrespect but his final years were a struggle to watch. No way do I see him in the top ten of SX in 2023 for a race let alone the season.
As for Dungey I would love to see him giving it a shot again this year, but sadly I believe that ship has sailed.
Reeds be done for few years.
Dungey has to be thinking what if I had chose to come back this year instead... lol. He would for sure be in the top five with the same effort he put in last year.
Some of yall prob think McGrath would still win a National or a SX if he tried. Now granted, he did great in Vet Championship. But so would Reed and a few others if they tried.
How the hell are guys saying top 10s? He was just out there last year doing top 5s.
Would be easier for him to sneak a podium but he’d be right where he left off last year
With only 6 Factory riders out of 40 gates in USA 450 pro motocross something has to change. But they wont. Everything is about the promoter, tracks, riders, teams, etc making money. The only losers are the fans. Even if they combined the 250 and 450 classes they cant fill a 40 rider gate with pro’s. Not just this year with the injuries. It’s been this way for over a decade and getting worse.
He would have 5th place locked in every week with the occasional one or 2 positions before or after 5th. It was awesome to see Dungey race one more season, I'd say for me it ranks up there when Windham went down and rode the 250 at Unadilla.
800 likes to sand bag, surprised he's not lining up.. lol..

5 Factory riders.
Chase is out for Hangtown.
RD5 missed the mark by 1 year, unfortunately. I truly think he could've gotten multiple podiums this year.
Not to mention he was the test dummy for the new KTM outdoors. Another year under his and teams belt with that new bike, things would’ve looked great. Props to RD regardless, he was competitive off the couch in a much deeper field but what a swan song that could’ve been if it was this summer.
A guy like RD could come off the couch and do it this weekend.
KTM is way to proud of themselves. They wanted rd5 to commit to bakers if he came back. They’re upset about the most popular guy in a stacked field getting 4th. He moved the sales needle more than the rest of his team combined. Decorated needs to retire
There has never at any point been 40 “pros” between two (or three classes). Let’s not even talk about factory guys. There are more factory rides than ever
What the hell are you talking about
We got a good look at Dungeys speed last year, and he was beating Plessinger more often than not. I'd take that to mean he likely has more pace than Webb too. Which means with Chase out the only people likely to beat him every round are Jett and Dylan. I'd say Dungey would be trading a fair few podiums with Plessinger until Chase and the other riders come back.
