Lol.  You should go show us how "easy" it is to qualify.

No sure if he will or will not. All depends on how many show, but if there if there ever was a year to try this is it for sure!!!

He doesn't have to do it in timed qualifying though as he can get in via the LCQ.

I say he doesn't get in via qualifying but will sneak in via the LCQ. As he is usually a great starter and 50/50 that he is on a big bore. Laughing

Even with the missing factory “Aces”,  it’s not like some “Jabroni” off the street is just going to walk into the fast 40.  Any rider that makes the 40 man gate at a pro national, 250 or 450 class, is a bad ass on a dirt bike, end of story.  What you said is disrespectful to all the racers working their butts off to make the show.

Keefer would do better in the motos if he qualified ,  he needs to go mental for a lap to make it tho ,  and at his age. He might be too smart to do to

It’s far and away the weakest field I’ve ever seen in the 250’s (watched since the 80’s) and the 450’s are only Chase, Jett, and Dylan who should each be on the podium every week in whatever order regardless of how they start. Unless one of them breaks their bike it’s hard to see any of them off the box. Maybe guys like Barcia sneak in at some point later in the season once they get healthy and in race shape but not for a while. It’s a great time for anyone to race the Nationals.

You forgot Plessinger and Webb. And then you mention Barcia.

Those 3 all should land on the podium at times.

Hopefully he grew out the gray beard. That would be classic.

There might be several top guys missing that’s true.  But if anyone thinks it’ll be easy to make the show they’re detached from reality.  In timed qualifying the guys in 30-40th place are guys who win or top three their local pro races.  These guys are all bad ass dirt bike riders.  I think it’ll be tough for Kris, especially if it’s ripped deep and watered heavy.  Those conditions favor young guns with little fear.  I hope he makes it in though

Now would definitely be the time to give it another shot. It'd be really cool for him to get it in.

Did Keefer race the nationals when he was younger? Whats his back story? Dirt Rider magazine tester? Or was that Tyler keefe?

I hope he makes it, I remember last time he said he wasted all his time doing 30 minute motos when he should have just been concerned about qualifying lap speed. So hopefully he's learnt from his last try and absolutely smashes it.

He did race pro a bit but when it would have been his heyday it sounds like his family didn't have too much money and he was a caregiver for his mother. Someone earlier was talking shit on him but for a guy to give up his dream to care for his mother he must be a pretty stand up dude. I think we'd all be better off if we had a friend like Keefer in our lives.

He's going to have to find a lot more speed and consistency.

He's been racing the 450 since 2019 and has 4 podiums with all of them being 3rd place.

He has an average finishing position of 12.31.

It all depends on if Dunlop hooks him up with some spec tires. All kidding aside. He's more then fast enough but the hot lap bullshit hurts guys like him. If he makes it out of there I'll bet there will be a few guys surprised to get passed by him or not catch him.

So far this year I'm 1 for 1 on my vital predictions. Mcelrath got multiple top 7s when I had people saying he would never make the top 12.

Lost my phone and laptop on vacation in Honolulu. Don't have access to my old a count as I don't remember the password and don't have access to that old email anymore.

Need to get at ML to see if I can get it back.

I saw 67 entries for the 450 class.  It is going to be tough for him to make it. Better be on his game!!

Currently 76 entries for 450.

I believe it's capped at 80.

Oh come on. The 18-25th  natl guys get smoked at a pro am finishing 7,4. At a little track in Wisconsin. At the 1st weekend & about the same the next weekend. These local riders don’t race much either.   In 98 a Wi. Local raced 125  a, 250a, +25 won all the motos at the Friday night red Bud track. Much better payout than the natl. With a stuck ring on a bone stock 98 rm125 , even the pipe . He qualified & there was a lot more riders back then trying.  Age has nothing to do with fear. It’s just that most loose the killer instinct . The older you get the less you care about getting seriously injured.

What the fuck are you talking about? Where? Who? Show me the results of your local WI track where guys are beating these guys? (18-25 in last years 450 class). Why are you talking about 1998? You realize that was 25 years ago? Wtf

Literally show me one pro am result from across the country where these riders below are getting beat by a "local rider".
