I've been into the sport since '81 - when I think about all of the stuff I've thrown out, it makes me sick now!!! MXA's from the early 1980's are selling for $30.00 (issues that I would REALLY like).

I still have an original JT goggle bag, a pair of Fox pants from the early 80's, a never worn yellow Jofa (nose too big), an RJ Fox jersey and a Fox GP jersey, as well as an MXDN shirt from '87 (Johnson/Hannah/Ward). Are you holding anything of value or have you thrown away anything that you wish you had back now?

I had all the Honda dealer posters with O Mara , Bailey, Johnson, Lechien etc from the mid 80s and sold them one at a time on ebay and sold each of them for a min of $80 and the one that had the MXDN team I sold for $120 and they had some small rips and damage. I never throw anything away so now as I am cleaning out the basement I just post it on Ebay and I make great money on some of it. I sold a bunch of stuff to Greg Primm and a mx collector in new york.

Emler proved to be a better motorcycle person than businessman at that time and briefly lost control of FMF in the early 1980s to Al Baker, of Al Baker R&D and XR's Only fame.

That pretty much sums it up though

The only thing I really wish I had back was a JT ALS1 helmet

I still have a worn out pair of Carrera 98's, several pairs of which have gone for $400 on ebay recently.

I wish I had my Ossa GPII now, but I was happy to move on from it back in the day. Likewise my 73 400 radial Maico.

I still have an original Wheelsmith jersey in decent shape, blue in the old school satin like Viking jersey material.

I have a lot of old school Fox stuff, but an NOS pair of the older original color pants and the first Grand Prix Cycles catalog made their way to Fox.

I eventually tossed a pair of Hallman goatskins in the classic DeCoster black with red and yellow stripes. I'd love to have a oair of those, but the pair I tossed needed to be tossed: mildewed and pretty torn up.

I'm embarrassed to say what I have given away and I still have a ton of stuff I'll never sell, it just means too much to me to give up, but I bet when I die or get so old I don't notice that my kids will sell it haha

Un-freakin-real what that '78 Fox catalog went for! Pretty sure i have every catalog up through '87. I have a huge box thats put away in storage of all my old mags and stuff, from very early 80's to 92-3'ish. Never would i of thought that a Fox catalog would pull that hefty of a price!

I still have these, but there is no way I'm fitting back into them, I was 135 lbs when I wore them.

I have that same Yamaha poster in my garage. ^^

Are we talking thrown away or ruined as a dumb kid. I had a signed Ward, Lechine and some one else's Kawi poster from like 86 or what ever year they were teamates. I have suicidal thoughts when I think about that poster that got ruined while rough-houseing with my cousins.

Could you send me pictures of the Fox catalog sticker''s of 91 and 92? Been hunting the Internet for years trying to find photos of that era. Trying to get someone to reproduce them if possible.

Scottie was a beloved member and admin for many years who took his life a couple of years ago after enduring decades of pain from a spinal cord injury that left him in a chair.  This thread is old and predates Scottie's loss.  I'm sure you didn't know it, but t's still pretty raw around here.  I find it a bit of a gut punch sometimes when old threads come up with friends we've lost like Scottie and Newmann and others.

Donated a bunch of stuff to various causes. Happy I could help. Signed 1-800-Collect McGrath jersey for a charity benefit (Lynn Nickerson). Signed McGrath Johnny Lightning (?) unopened toy bike for a young tike battling cancer.

Worst business decision was letting my 79 CR125 go, with DG head and swingarm, spare donor motor, couple of extra carbs and Fox Airshox for $700. But it had sat in consignment for over a year. (1994). The Fox Shox alone are worth more than that now.

Man, Sorry I didn't know. I'm sure he's enjoying perfectly manicured tracks with the man upstairs smiling down on this tread knowing there's people who still got his back...

My dad donated some of his old clothes to goodwill, only problem is he had a $20,000 Rolex in a jacket pocket and he donated the jacket.  Laughing
