So I picked up this cr125 and decided to make the bike fresh for next riding season.
I'm going for a full rebuild: + I'm going to machine some one off parts like triple clamps, linkage, cylinder head etc. Im especially sharing some pics of these cnc parts.
Also swapping a '99 cylinder and doing a long rod conversion ( like Michael Byrne's 2003 cr125 )

I already started tearing it down a few weeks ago. Glad there were no suprises.
The first fun little project was to design and machine new triple clamps. I dont like the cast aluminum clamps so I spent few nights drawing a new 3d cad model.
These clamps are stronger in critical spots, but also a few grams lighter than stock. Fem analysis was also made.
Lower and upper first op.
Done. I'm also sending these clamps to anodizing
beautiful work!
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
7075 linkage arm with adjustable lenght. Similar to Luxon mx design.
Amazing work. What model mill are you using?
Bad ass. Any idea how they will feel compared to stock clamps regarding rigidity?
Clamp topology looks familiar
Nice job!
Your clamps dont fit my bike so I had to make my own haha. I got some inspiration from your clamps but dont worry I only made one pair
here is the linkage
Seriously impressive knowledge and ability being shown for this build.
parts came back from anodizing
new wheels
cases cerakoted
Had to machine the crank so I can put balance inserts. It's was put together with longer rod so I had to calculate how much to remove weight.
air forks
Wow, looks super! Will you use the 01 engine or a HPP?
hpp cylinder with spacer plate. The conrod is 6mm longer.
Very nice ! Love the linkage!!
What offset clamps did you make? 22, 24 or something else ?
Pit Row
Did you use a ktm sx125 rod?
In👍
yes it's a ktm rod.

Just incredible so far. Can't wait to see the final product!
Have you measured fork lug offset? Lug offset in new forks can be 2mm less causing total offset change of 4mm.
Just a possibility that came into mind.
mitä luulet?
Of course you have measured. Absolutely brilliant build.
finally got the bottom end back together.
what do you guys think about the clutch cover
what's this 👀
If you wanted to make a few extra linkages, they would for sure sell!
