I’m not sure what weather app you are using, but there could be a chance that the venue is using some more accurate tools and also more aware of the conditions based on actual observations…..

I've gotten a few texts from industry members at the race saying it was very close. I've heard 15 or 20 miles from the venue location is the rule.
