I think that ping’s ‘straight’ interviews are probably the best moto entertainment made (away from the racing itself, obviously!). I remember the Nazi quip and cringed a little bit but chalked it up to him playing up to Hannah’s now tiresome image.

If I ran into ping I’d make it a point to thank him for the vast majority of his WTS content. I don’t view any of his personal social media so none of that would even come up. Unless it was straight up hateful rage, it probably wouldn’t matter anyway as I consider myself an adult and don’t get bent out of shape if someone doesn’t agree with everything that I think.

On the Roczen thing, it’s too bad that it has progressed this far without him going straight to Ken and addressing it. Ping has talked about going to bible study often and it may be a good idea to apply some of the teachings to his anger/resentment towards Roczen.

Either way, look forward to many more great interviews on WTS and I hope that Roczen is able to get some podiums and maybe even a couple wins in the Nationals.

I just want to throw Kenny a shout out.  I've had the pleasure to meet and talk to him 2 times outside of race events - both times were in the airport when we were both traveling (yes, I travel a ton for work).  He's one of the nicest and coolest people I've ever met.  Never met Ping.  Enjoy his podcast and dig listening to him on AX races.  Can't we all just get along??

Ping's mistake was to state his political views and question the establishment.  For that's he's being punished, and his political views will always color how his non-political views are interpreted.  Even if Ping has a good point, he will still get crapped on which I would imagine in the only motivation the opening post had in mind when hitting the submit button.  Unfortunately it worked as anyone reading this thread can see.

I can’t be the only one imagining Ping fuming at his screen while reading this thread and mumbling some Tucker Carlson mumbo jumbo.

Ping is one of the nicest guys you will talk to at the track, but I think Fox News fried his brain and I wish he would leave his political crap at home.

Yea I quit listening to WTS because politics were creeping in.

I noticed Matthes doing it too so Im out on all things Pulp as well.

Both of these guys on Twitter? oooof

I don't care which way you lean, leave it at home. I just want to hear the motocross stuff.

I'll take this a bit further and say that I have learned to not do something nice and expect a thank you back.  You generally set yourself up for disappointment and then become angry in the end.    If I want to do it I just do it and don't expect anything back.  If someone throws me a thank you that's always cool.   If I feel like I'm being used I just avoid those people or situations.  ......doing something nice and expecting a thank you back is just not a healthy way to treat yourself.

This is the way. I never do anything for anyone expecting something in return. I do it because I decided I wanted to help. The end.

How many 450 MX championships does Ping have? Or 450 Supercross wins?

I'm not impressed

Ping scored 9pts in the 250/450 SX class.

Ken is over the 2100pts mark.

Spot on.

It's the cancel culture mentality.    Don't agree with someones views, they get burned at the stake.

I recall very little "P" content in his shows/etc.   People offended to the point of hatred...pretty pathetic.

Sadly, this is the world we live in now.

“Ping is lame for talking trash about someone on the internet” as you all (anonymously) talk trash about Ping on the internet.

It’s called accountability not cancel culture.  It’s pretty simple, if you do or say stupid shit then you can and will get called out for it.  You can choose to learn from it or repeat the same mistakes and confirm what people have said about you.

He’s not the Ping I once enjoyed , that’s for sure.

Dude I agree. I really liked his content, his knowledge, and how he presented bike tests in a way the every day dude could understand it. And I thought the whisky throttle show was so good, still is. But he is not that guy any longer and it is more difficult to vibe with Ping and his content due to his positions outside of moto. Church and state need to remain separate if you will.  And as far as Kenny not thanking him, well, dude, that is not the reason you help someone or lend a hand. You do it because you want to, not because you want or need to be acknowledged for doing so. That is good deeds 101 man (see what I did there?). Come on!

Influencers, sheesh.  Maybe MTV could revive its Celebrity Death match bit for the moto community.

Screw Ping. He was really cool when he came on Pulp but somewhere in there he really got soaked up in politics. And my opinion moto and politics shouldn’t cross paths, yeah have opinions but man he made it all about that. Then when he started his podcast he got mega arrogant talking about how popular (so he thought) his show was, he’s not impressed with KEN ROCZEN? What a dildo.

Yah I agree that since he started to bring more politics into his views on Moto I like his stuff less. I still listen here and there to see if its different. For the most part the stuff I've heard of his is just little digs here and there towards the side he leans politically. Which I can deal with when its a good guest. I liked him much better before he became an angry old man yelling to get off his lawn.

I can understand why he's bummed out about not getting thanked. But I'm really surprised Ping has been around Pro Moto this long and is surprised about not getting thanked at a one off race. Seems like somebody gets left out here and there on the podium speeches. I kinda think that Kenny should have not ridden the bike if he had a problem with Ping before then. Who knows maybe Kenny didn't realize it was so much work for Ping, or Assumed Ping was getting the content from the deal and felt that was enough for his part. My personal feelings aside for both parties, I think Kenny should have thanked him. But at the sametime , making a video about not being thanked is not super classy either.

You nailed it. I am a fan of both guys professionally. Politics do not belong on a moto podcast and that is Pings problem. That aside, his moto knowledge and his insight is phenomenal.  Spoken with David a couple of times and he is a legit good who has helped many guys who have needed l. As for Kenny, he should have thanked Ping and I truly believe someone at Kenny’s level shouldn’t have a problem finding a bike and if he couldn’t the 6k will not break the bank. Aftermarket parts will be given no problem. But, all In all, none of this is a large deal and Ping could easily have reached out to Kenny and spoken his mind like a man and not on social media.

Ping did the same to me. I sent him a couple sets of my titanium seat brackets for a yz250 build under the condition that he make an Instagram mention about them. He agreed and I never heard a peep. Hypocrite.

If this is true, it tells you everything thing you need to know about the hypocrite drama queen that Ping really is.

We all know what this is about if you're honest with yourself.

I will say, I would not have gone on social media over this (lol, I'm not even on soical media).     Someone burns me like that, you're just done in my book.

Everyone is free to speak their opinions. Ping can say whatever he wants but everyone else is also free to react to what he says, especially when it’s said in a public space. Nobody is trying to cancel or deplatform him.

I’m pretty sure 95% of the moto community leans right so that’s not the case. I posted it cause I thought it was funny he tried to compare his career to Ken’s. Granted the majority of us would do anything to have the skill and success Ping has had but to allude to him being on the same level as Ken is crazy…and then to find out Ping has used others products with no social mention just shows how much a hypocrite he is

From outside the US, this lefty/righty division shit confuses the fuck out of me.

Anyway, if Ping can't thank a dude who handed over parts for his build, yet gets emotional about not being thanked himself, it's time to pipe down and look in the mirror.

The guy comes across like a tool a lot of the time nowadays.

Dude it sucks so bad. The news cycle and political influencers on social media have so many people whipped into an absolute frenzy constantly. They try to politicize EVERYTHING here.
