One less moto scum around

Not the kinda news you'd want to see can't say I ever saw the guy myself. Never heard of him.

Kind of surprising how many pedo's have been identified in moto, but I guess it's inevitable based on numbers.

I wish parents would put less faith into ex-pro's and nobody's like this guy to train their kid. Most "trainers" simply don't have any other marketable skills and aren't willing to start from the bottom in a new industry.

Is that true? Not being a wise guy. I haven't heard of this being a issue in our sport. Although there is sick people in all walks of life. This type of thing should be punishable with death.

In the last couple years I've seen articles of 3 "trainers" go down for this, then most are aware of the Kevin Walker situation from a few years ago: https://www.timesnews.net/news/local-news/hidden-camera-in-kingsport-ba…

Then you had the Nico Izzi situation where he was stealing generators and parts from families he was "training", booking training dates and having people pre-pay and he never shows, etc.

There's sick fucks, losers and addicts everywhere, including moto.

15 years minimum prison time, and the inmates don't like pedos. He's not going to have a very good time. Serves him right.

Sort of off topic - but I agree on the "trainer" comment.

How many "moto camps" and "schools" are out there now? I see a new one every week. That's not even counting all of the instagram, etc pages that are run by dudes who never won a B race and just applied to get their pro card 8 years ago so they are "pro" and are now "coaches". Like are all these dudes actually getting paid to give kids riding advice? It has to be the biggest ripoff going on in moto rn. Half the kids don't even ride enough to use the "skills" or "advice" these dudes are talking about lol.

They should make the bastard work and pay for therapy for all the victims. None of this saving up for soups and honey buns and Fritos bullshit. Should be 15 years hard labor for crimes like this. I can’t believe this happens in moto.

Don’t kill him, just make him wish he were dead.

As I recall, this guy was a Fellowship of Christian Athletes coach.  It is more common than you think, unfortunately.  Considering the relatively small number of kids nationwide that are working with professional trainers, you certainly hear about more of this than you want to.

Sad thing is I met that dude and raced a couple races he promoted at that car track in Ringgold. Nothing seemed off about him either. He also had a wife at the races that was doing just as much work as he was too.

I have a 4 y/o boy and 1 y/o girl and this type of thing freaks me out. What sports can they do at a young age that this doesn't happen?? Seems like none. I already have a very careful eye already.

You’ve gotta be kidding me, this dude? He’s part of the PNW motocross, Facebook page and posts all the time with pictures he has shot at local tracks. Can’t believe it was this dude. Unreal

I guess the moral of the story is that we just can’t leave our kids alone with coaches, regardless of the sport.

He was no coach, I doubt he ever swung a leg over a bike.  He’s a pedophile who put together a plan to be around kids without their parents, and sadly enough it worked…

Starwalker OG.

Yes,him,

We feel the same and are completely sickened by it.

If you know the pnw motocross community, you will be well aware who he is.

Hopefully death finds him.

In my soccer organization we coaches are not legally allowed to be alone with a child. Has to be at least 1 other person present in any interaction or we can get in big trouble just for entering a situation where we could do harm without a witness.

That rule is there to protect the coaches as much as it is the children all it takes is for one kid to claim an incident and your reputation is ruined whether you're charged or not ! It's all very unfortunate that's society we live in

Yeah that is how they explained it as well. It does suck that these kinds of precautions are needed.

It's wild the legal liabilities you face just as a volunteer coach for little kids. If we have even a suspicion that has some viable reason and we don't report it to law enforcement ASAP, we can apparently be charged with a crime.

I'm not saying I wouldn't report something if I knew, but I hate the idea of being in a position where I don't have the facts and I'm forced to report on someone just on a hunch.

On the flip side, that exact sentiment is probably why so many pedos have gotten away with so much in the first place.

This thread is derailing about coaches, but to echo your point, this guy was a photographer, NOT a coach.  He always seemed like a nice guy to me, this was surprising news.  I am sure you are on the PNW moto FB group, but wow has it been regurgitated there.

Doesn’t take a top resume and national wins to be a good trainer.

Look at a couple of the top pros that had moms training them.

My kid on 65’s have worked with a couple trainers here and there. Some of the top guys, then random local guys. Just cause you had a factory ride and we’re successful, doesn’t make you a better trainer than some local B rider.

edit to ad: hope none of Dudes my kid works with are pedo’s lol

You got to test them out. Try out gaying the coach to get a better feeling if they are a Pedo or not
