This got downvoted but it’s the only option that makes sense. Freddy has proven that he can run with the best pretty consistently outdoors when he’s on a factory bike.
Dylan Wright
Period
He’s on a 21.
A fill in ride is about 2200 a week, I wonder if it would be worth it for him.
He gets 5k to holeshot a main.
I said this in the original thread about wsx....its not gonna last past this season
Could they make a play at some1 like marchbanks. I thought he was kinda in the out at club at the end of last season.
Or if I was to go a privateer for the whole mx season. Chris canning would smoke all these top privateers doing sx at the moment.
If you are a guy like JS17 or Colt Nichols looking past a factory fill in ride over a wsx ride you are beyond crazy. Let's say the wsx ride is better money but let's look long term. Both of the guys could get lucky and run top 5 outdoors. Set yourself up for the future and not for the present.
Colt Nichols will be working hard just to get some top-ten finishes this summer at best. I like him but he has barely raced over the last year+
Nicoletti
Max Anstie? Joey Savatgy? both could probably get on the box on a good day and a track they like.
Marchbanks signed a 2-year extension with Club MX before the 2023 SX season started.
Both are contracted to race WSX.
I figured as much, but I thought those series, did not conflict with each other do they?
Pit Row
They do conflict, there are two overlapping rounds this year. Anstie specifically is contracted to FirePower Honda for US SX, WSX, and Aus SX for this year and next year.
Phil is injured and is unlikely to make the start of Pro Motocross for the team he's contracted to, ClubMX.
In Savatgy's case, he's shown over and over what he can do in the 450 class here and it hasn't rewarded him with a solid ride. He's getting paid well to race WSX. Racing moto is a dream but it's also a job/career and he has a family to feed.
With the lack of fill in options. RJ to the 450 at least for outdoors is making more and more sense.
Then who does Husky put on a 250? They have no other contenders in that class. Huskys best shot at a win in MX is RJ on a 250.
Hell yes! Chuck Sun.
And...that is a beautiful Husqvarna!
Swoll and Hawkins will be on 250's outdoors.
Too bad LeBlanc gave up, he would have had quite a few opportunities on good equipment this year.
Why not Moranz?
Maybe he doesn't want it?
Fill in rides are notoriously low paying and he would only have a few rounds to figure out a new bike because he is still on the previous generation Austrian bike.
Sure, it'd be awesome to ride a factory bike but he's doing pretty solid on what he's got and seems to make a decent enough living to keep going.
I don't think "gave up" is the correct term to use.
Vitards don’t like sensible answers!
