That is some pretty fucking lame stuff for Monster to pull.
Like anybody is going to confuse the branding.

Just crush the guy with legal bills.....even though he is in the right he can't win.

His ego is going to take him down.
Granted, it shouldn't be this way though. Hardly any confusion in the product.

oh boy there goes the neighborhood.. I don't remember Monster making beer? This guy is harmless to Monster.. Let him make his beer run and I'm sure he can come up with something else next time. This is America bitches, you mess with the little guys you mess with the entire consumers helping you be a "1 billion dollar corporation". We all need to remember we all started small somewhere.. I love the Internet for this reason. This happens all the time and now the little guys have a way to get the word out..

You must not be a business owner....

It's not about his "ego"...it's about what's right!

Is it wrong of them to claim trademark infringement? Sure.
Is it wrong of him to fight for a name that has no real meaning? Yup.

it's just bs though, it's not capitalism, capitalism is letting the market work itself out, not creating a monopolistic drink company then eliminating every other product with the same letters in the name. I thought the trademark was for Monster Energy Drink, the whole title, I mean there is Monster.com for job listings why not go after them, or any other company that's ever used Monster, hell why not sue the record company that put out the cheesy Monster Ballads CD that they show on TV, there's gotta be a line and they sure as hell crossed it with this one.

The point of the matter is that money shouldn't be a factor. A large corporation shouldn't be able to win a losing court case just because they have the money to appeal it forever.

Once again large corporations proving they are what's wrong with the United States.

And no, it's because you think he's wrong for standing up for something that he is legally correct in doing so. It's people like you who just shrug their shoulders and say oh well it's life that let things keep getting worse and worse.

As long as people like you continue to turn a cold shoulder to real issues and label them as "life" nothing will ever change. But I guess in your eyes it's ok to let the country keep going down the shitter.

And Farva, we all know they are too busy sucking off the corporations that paid their way into office to care.

Keep in mind that lawyers are always looking for these law suits and sell their clients on doing so so they can make lots of money as well. I blame the lawyers as much as I do Monster..

If I was the sitting judge in any of these proceedings I would laugh this right out of my courtroom.

Stand up for what is right, and not accept what is wrong as a fact of life.

RE: Vermonster Beer..

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

It has come to my attention after spending money on your product and sponsered events that your company is about to fight an infrigment case on trade mark with a very small beer company brewing beer named Vermonster. I will keep this simple, Myself and many others will not be purchasing your product anymore. I will be encouraging my area businesses that I buy from to please stock [fill in the blank] drinks..

Thank you for listening....

This is on par with Specialized Bicycles serving me a cease and desist because my company is called Specialized Painting.

The trademark laws are designed to keep competitors from stealing market share by confusing consumers.

Not in the same market?

No grounds for a suit.

Besides that, the beer is called Vermonster, not Monster.

Why would this even go to court?

This is an outrage!!!!!! Thank god for youtube it has allowed people like him to get their word out just like the lady that got burned by her credit card company.

I will NEVER buy anything associated with Monster .....haven't in a long time but I will make sure everyone I know will be informed about this...... If he was smart he's send a letter or email to Red Bull since they are Monster's main conpetition and ask for a little support to fight these assholes, you never know they may be willing to help out Red Bull is an awesome company for many reasons they put on some of the best events and competitions and one off things like the flutog and soap box derby race

I don't think we would like to see what our sport would look like with out Monster Energy.

It would be a lot like the off season. No racing.

We had a sport long before Monster came around.... This is ridiculous and sounds like Monsters corporate lawyers have too much time on their hands...
