Why couldn't it have been in 2023, I'd love to see this guy race the AMA Outdoor Nationals

Jeffrey Herlings won the Overall at Sardegna with a 2/2 finish, but watching him charge in that 2nd moto was a thing of beauty.  Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, Jett Lawrence and Jeffrey Herlings would be epic.  Won't ever happen, because Eli Tomac is retiring this year, but I would have loved to see these 4 battle.

Maybe on hard pack, but not on sand.  I don’t think any of the US riders can touch him on a sand track.

He didn't have very good starts in each moto, but got good solid finishes.  Anybody know how Eli Tomac has done head to head against Jeffrey Herlings outdoors.

I believe it’s 7-1 in Herlings favour

Southwick sand is nothing at all like Belgian or Dutch sand. There are lots of pros in the past that have said so.

I know, since the only thing that matters is how treacherous the track is, we should just line them up for a tough mudder.

I have no idea how things would go as far as “Herlings versus our guys” in 2023; but, I’d sure like to see it happen!

I purchased MXGPtv season pass for 2023 and have been watching.

The tracks for the first two rounds were pretty basic tracks with lots of sand and not many technical sections. Pretty much WFO.

Right now Tomac would destroy #84 on any track in the world. Herlings has not been anything close to FMOTP. <-- nobody should be surprised since he didn't race for 14 months. Lets wait a few more months before we get into this debate

I have much to learn about the GP's and riders since I just started following the show. and the MXoN is the only reference I have. Geerts and Prado didn't shine very bright at the nations but look really good so far. For sure surprised Renaux and Seewar are doing so poorly

No, it’s not. Just because it’s not as deep as some Euro tracks doesn’t make it anything like hard pack.
