More and more insurance companies are snooping around after injuries and try to sue the track on behalf of the rider in order to recoup costs...
You'd think if you just got sued within the last few yrs, you'd make sure to cover all your bases. Have to be a brain surgeon not to make sure your fencing is intact to prevent you from falling into jagged rocks and monitor the area, replace any stolen fencing......even have your own insurance carrier rep come to do a check of the property, but I just remembered who.....never mind..
Another track down the toilet; wasn't the same anyways when they sold the good sandy, loamy track anyways many years back.
Then it's a free for all!
Come to think of it, that might be one of the only times KFC in in the "moto" section too.
Dave, what's up with that? You dragging all this junk here..
HAHAHAHAHA....
We are all tired of the tracks.
Specially the Anchorage track thats just a 1 lined gravel pit that destroys your bike in one moto, for a cheap payout even if you do win.
All of the tracks take no skill, there so safe and fast it seems easier to get hurt.
The only way to pass is going into corners cause every corner is one lined with a berm cause the qauds leave us no chance of developing ruts.
You have to drag to the corner to get to that berm first or slam in there, whhich wouldn't be bad if the tracks were slower.
But in fairbanks I rarley hit a corner going into it outta 4th, you rail that berm, rail the next, rail the next and hope someone does divebomb you in.
The jumps here take no skill, i did every jump in anchroage in 2nd gear on the 250f. Minus the mach which was a cruise in 3rd barley on it.
And the same goes for every other track all jumps are 2nd gear with the one jump you hit in third.
Everyone is so worried about mini bike saftey it is retarted, tracks are perfect for them but when expert riders crash its at high speeds cause were wideopen all the time.
Like when cory and ricky groomed the track for the state race and changed a few landings and lips it was retarted, how many novice riders and mini parents complained was just mind blowing.
Everyone wants to avoid injuries wanna know our opinion tracks are so easy here it allows people to ride over there skill level hints why they get hurt if tracks had some challenge in them like they did back in around 05-06 down, there would be checks on the track for lower class riders to slow down and be put into there place.
If we did a format qauds one day bikes the next or vice versa corners wouldnt be one line berms. And a quad tire wide.
The Pro class in fairbanks at the last race was what 5-6 people?
The clubs wont listen to us and were tired of it, Alaska motocross is a joke at this time.
Look at the fast people who came up back when tracks wernt so easy, 85cc dreamland, wideopen.
Look st the people coming up now.... Casey Boylan, I, and Collin Clayton were the last fast ones that came up. I dont see one 85 Expert rider who is really a expert the 125 Int is just another novice class.
As off now your Pro Class seems like this next year
Casey Boylan
Collin Clayton
Tyler Blanchard (maybe)
Nick Axhelm (Maybe)
Mike Treat (if he can keep outta trouble)
and a bunch of intermediate riders...
Sounds like a blast.
Also we dont wanna run 20min death motos.
20 mins on a wide open track that is smooth as a road is just dumb, we brought this up many times that tracks are not big enough or rough enough here to do that but yet no one ever listened and were off racing tell 8pm every state race.
I hooe you get some of my points, I wish people would see racing down south up here and have a reality check, I know this post was all over but ill be glad to clear it up another time for you
Pit Row
Ever been?
1) Rich's fall from grace on FD rivals that of Jeff Emig 98-99.
2) David's Buford T. Justice obsession with the case forced us to choose between the white underbelly of neurosis, and our inborn acrid distaste of track sewers.
You're right, Hammer. Dave and I traded emails before this came up, and I thought that it wouldn't be possible for people who weren't participants on the MT/FD and then MD roster to really appreciate the genius of Rich's craziness. Bauer was still blazing then, as was Bruhn given that Rich had contacted his clients to claim he was a pornographer. Side were struck against them for Rich in the FD community, and you had some crazy add-ons like MikeeP and John/RM250guy, as well as some class-A provokers like XMikeX and Unamused.
That kind of intentional and unintentional . . . ahhhh . . . comic "genius" is absent today. And trying to explain what happened is going to be lost on people who weren't a part of it. Rich will just come off as just another of the asshats that come and go pretty regularly.
And, yup, the reaction against Rich was a lot more about him lying to and betraying his friends, and showing he wasn't really a friend, but a self-absorbed user - and proving Bauer and Bruhn right about that - than it was about being a track suer.
You really had to be there. The mix and pathology that can come up with the stuff Rich said doesn't come around that often.
