An MX game's primary focus for me will always be offline single player. I don't mind multi now and then but ultimately I want to do things on my own terms. Not have the game's longevity dictated by how many people are still playing yrs from now, the quality of people playing, if I have an internet connection that day etc. As long as SP is a dog's dinner in this then I won't bother no matter how good the underlying game is otherwise.
In terms of the game itself it's clearly the engine that's holding them back at this point. Tweak it this way, tweak it that way, slap a new number on the box... It's essentially the same game yr after yr updated with (though still a year behind of course) last yrs track and rider skins. Meanwhile the same issues persist from years ago.
I'll admit I haven't even touched this one but I'm guessing that when doing a season every other rd is a mud race. That you still randomly eject off your bike in some corners for seemingly no reason sometimes. That you still can't really wheelie without self destructing. That the track scaling makes every track feel like a pit-bike race etc etc.
No, you’re wrong. The game is a big improvement especially when it comes to consistent whips and scrubs. The game has to be played in first person view.
lm not really interested in the enduro part of the game but if you want to play sometime add me on discord.
doglover136#4066 i’ll invite you to some mx bikes based servers.
I tried some online. Typical laggy riders. Some were good connections. Some of the Supercross tracks are fun and had some good battles. As long as you have good connections just don’t get put by a two-stroke. That is the worst sounding bike they’ve ever made.

We need to put together a "Vital Racing League" for MX Bikes. I wonder how many riders/players we could come up with?
I bought it Sat morning and played most of the weekend, I enjoyed it overall. I agree the bikes feel slow and the over/under bridges need fixed, they are like riding on rutted ice. The RM250 sound is pretty good, not sure why the CR and YZ don't sound the same.
Sam i agree bikes feel flat on bottom. No pop.
Question.
I am on PS4, and have played a few times now.. I play two other games that require the R2 (trigger) button and have no issues. For some reason on SX6 it feels like the bike is bogging or the throttle is feathering with or without me trying. Is this an issue with the game or is my old AF controller finally telling me its time to be replaced?
I dig the new game...
All the other games seemed to be twitchy steering. This game takes way more throttle control in corners and it feels easier to go exactly where you want to go. I did have to dial in the suspension to get it to steer how I want it to.
The previous games were probably easy to play with a joystick on a PC, but it was hard to directly aim where you wanted to go with the PS4 controllers.
My only complaint is the Arlington track. On the section with two tabletops, most riders were jumping from one tabletop to the other, or even over the second one. In this game its a strech just to land on the second table in the actual real life event. I wish the first tabletop had a more aggressive take off like the real track did.
I agree the game is fantastic
You need to be running a manual gearbox and scream the bikes. You should be in 2nd and 3rd gear most of the time. Shift up to 4th for the whoops. 250 requires more shifting between 2,3 and 4. 450 you can really just stick it in 3rd and run the whole track. Just click up to 4th in the whoops.
The twitchy steering is much better in this game. I totally agree. The over under transitions are horrible and could definitely be improved.
I think this is the best Supercross game on console ever. Milestone did a good job with this one.
I like that you can hit every rhythm section like a whoop section and I can use gear from 2020!
Do you mind sharing your suspension settings that you liked? I'm trying to do the same to get the cornering spot on.
Braking on this game feels real glitchy.
I will only buy if that make a SMX game next year and we get outdoors too. That would be a game WORTH buying
the biggest problem, is that they are trying to make the stuff TO realistic.
MCM2 was the last great game, and partially because it had all this USER CREATED downloads that even helped the game progress.
I keep hearing about a game on STEAM thats as good as mcm2, and i just dont see it. Havent heard of it, seen it etc.
I think once they started getting to realistic with it, it started going downhill.. Excitebike is literally still in my living room, Along with MX vs ATV Unleashed where you can manual from jump to jump if you want and slingshot sections if you get the transitions perfect...
Just like someone said above, sometimes good enough, is plenty good..
MX Bikes on steam
Pit Row
I Think the game is good so far. I like what they did with the inside berms. Finally, you can rail a corner in this game.
Deff some weird online glitches that happen while racing if you are really trying to be fast. The player just randomly eats shit for no reason. Super annoying.
I appreciate that, thank you. Once I've got a few more hours under my belt I'll take you up on it for sure! I'm at that point now where I can handle the practise tracks easily but struggling with the bigger replicas. But we'll get there. I downloaded steel city last night. What a track. I can't believe it's not used anymore!
Hot tip. The heavy hitters be hitting them whoops in 5th
