Did you sell your Honda? How do you like the Yamaha? You been on it long enough to get a feel for it yet?

Well if you’re financing and want to upgrade, why not splurge for a $50 monthly increase? Latest and greatest

I still have my Honda at the moment. Just actually listed it for sale.

I've got a few rides on the yam and now a race.

I love it. Having said that, I have no real issues with my Honda either. Maybe a little rough on the hands I guess if I had to complain. The Yamaha is definitely more forgiving (or, plush). I'm under sprung but will sort that out soon if no one buys it within the next few weeks. Riding a little low in the stroke in some places which made it feel a little "stiff" in bigger braking bumps at Daytona. Not a fault of the bike or s bad trait. Just my lack of time to get it right before the race.

I love cable clutch feel. Actually kinda missed it, even tho the Honda is real close to the same feel but with hydro.

Braking I would call similar.

I prefer the Hondas launch control over the Yamahas. The Honda sounds a little different, but the yam sounds like a blubbery mess of annoyingness that was way too distracting for me.. lol.. may perform well but I couldn't use it. Both bikes I used the tamer front and rear devices on. Definitely a game changer for me on both.

What is this "tamer" product you speak of?

Just got mine yesterday. Did a bunch of prep on it today, super stoked on the bike but I have an issue that is concerning. The throttle cables are pulled tight when turning full to the right. Cables look to be routed correctly just from looking, but are way shorter than on my 23 yz250f. They don’t affect the RPM’s at all. Has anyone else seen something similar on your bikes?9F092639-FE22-4451-B442-E13ECC3438D1

Yep...they don't fit.  Going to take some retooling by the aftermarket companies.

Are they in the right side of the number plate? Hard to tell from your picture but it seems to be on the wrong side?

Ok, went to check. Routed on the correct side 👍. I rolled the housing very slightly forward and dropped the cables into the retainer on the left side of the frame and now I’m in business. Thanks for the reply DB!

Can somebody help me with the Protaper Sela start device? Just purchased one for my ‘23 and the instructions that comes with it says that I have to download a template. For some reason I can’t reach their website from here in Europe. So it would be great if someone could download it for me and share it here 👍🏻

Do yourself a favor and buy a set of 22 fork guards, they fit. The new 23 fork guard is different and hard to fit on there. My buddy installed one and it kept hitting his fork when pushed down. Apparently the device on the 23 has a small area for placement and it’s closer to the front wheel rather than in the middle.

So... Is Dubach still a big yam guy? When will we see an exhaust from Dr. D?

Cycra for the previous model fits. Just need a longer bolt for the back mounting hole.

I spotted it on RDL but didn't snag a pic. Honestly saw the HGS sticker but thought it looked stockish. They kinda look stockish tho so I assumed maybe. Header looked different too.

ProTaper's site doesn't even have a template for the new fork guard anyway.

I don't know what is going on with PT but their site is very outdated. They haven't even updated the SELA device applications in multiple years, 2020 is the "newest" bikes in the application list although it probably fits all new bikes. When you go to the all new ACF handlebar page you can't even find the measurements of the different bends.

I mailed them 2 times already in 2 weeks time and they haven’t responded yet.
