Hansen has been putting laps in on the Kawi test track. In the past, he didn't even want to ride. He's changed.

Truely hope so, but that's up to him. Agree with the post above that it's pretty hard to second guess a Mitch Payton call.

Hansen has amazing talent and great style on a bike more than a guy like Short Tedesco imo -that's why people take chances on him but this has to be his last chance now, if he cant do it now he never will. he has messed his whole career up till this point. But with some RC style training he could be top 5 or better, Mitch is buying potential and he probably isnt paying a whole lot to do it. It is a wonder BT or CP didn;t get the ride or even Tedesco

Hmm...we'll get to see more this weekend. I saw Josh at the MGM, and he said he'll be Kawasaki-mounted on Friday and Saturday nights...and that he'd just found out last night that he was racing.

one-off races are Hansens strong points. He is also very technical and aggressive. I would not be surprised to see some really good results from him this weekend. Now as far as a season goes, thats another story. I hope he does well

1st of all if this is really you Josh H then i want to see you out there but with your arse contained in ya dudds and if Hanny has this skill i want to see this on the race track where it is used for the good, it is no good only on the test track.

Hope Josh rides well had the pleasure of meeting him when he was in Australia.
I know one fan who will never forget him as he gave his Race jersey to him after Wannerroo National, I was next to the guy and his little boy was so happy.

Has it been confirmed that this deal is for the SX season or is it just the US Open only, seems strange that he would say he only new last night he was racing.

I think top 5 is a realistic goal. I also think that its the bad nights that are going to be the test for Hanny. It appeared to me that the poor results took the wind out of his sails in years past, and could have led to the lack of motivation. All just speculation, of course.

I hope he makes the best of it!
