Bubba's World Rewind Show

Edited Date/Time 2/16/2023 6:16am

If you aren't watching the Rewind Show on YouTube, you're missing out.  The level of understanding that James has of what is going on with regard to motorcycle setup and rider technique is astounding.  I used to listen to another post race podcast that was full of fun banter back and forth.  Now I really look forward to listening to James break down exactly what happened on the track.  I used to think James was just a supremely talented pin it to win it guy, but after watching his Houston Rewind Show, I have a whole new level of respect for how great James was and now is as a color commentator.

Me appreciating the race commentary and knowledge of one of the greatest riders in the modern era offends you?  Crawl back into your mom’s basement, newb.

The Tampa show has been pulled for copyright infringement.

Was good with James analysing Sexton's style and concluding that compared to Webb's it was faulty, and a big part of his small loses becoming crashes.

I kinda wondered how he was pulling that off utilizing the footage from the broadcast.  That’s too bad.  It was really interesting to hear his perspective.

JS7's race review show is the best of all the race review podcasts.  James is really on top of it and manages to analyze and hype in a solo dialog.  Hard to do and very well done.

BTW, gotta say, Vital's post race review podcast with Lewis and Michael is very good also.

At least neither of these two podcasts spend 20min talking about what food they mooched from the various race teams.

I would have thought he was OK using the Feld footage for fair review and criticism.

I don't typically listen to that podcast, but found the banter about what food they have in the booth to be nauseating.  Bubba's World is still a bit gimmicky (Stew/Stew, trying to make Neckburn a thing), but the analysis is second to none with almost no filler.

They should let people use video for highlights. Its more exposure and eyes on sponsors. Plus it is so much better when breaking down the races.

Good thing there are options, eh?

Agree completely- Pulps racer review show has been something I’ve listened to for a long time but it’s getting more about bro-ing down about inside jokes from Pulp show and Matthes massive industry pull than the races- I think it’s wearing JT down slowly as well

Definitely agree. I'm not a Pulp hater either, he's done a lot for the privateers and his Monday show is still definitely worth a listen, but the "additional" shows during the week and the review have changed a lot the last few years.

He's built the empire and can do what he wants, of course, but man those shows are now like 50% actual race-related content.

Can't speak for JT but it does seem like he's a bit over it as well. Maybe that's why he started his own stand-alone pre and post-race stuff?

Back to the actual topic, Bubba's post-race stuff is awesome, he's such a student of the sport and it shows. He's also not afraid to call it how he sees it and doesn't ever seem to play favorites. Far too rare these days....

Bubbas recap and JTs industry seating are both awesome!!

I love Bubba's World. I think people overlook how awesome it is to have James analyze every race. Imagine if you got to watch Peyton Manning analyze every NFL game. Especially because James really picks up on stuff everyone else misses, this week's show was a great example of that with the Webb/Sexton analysis before Chase went down. Awesome to hear his insights

Yeah, I’ve noticed the review shows and moto60 have had taken a more brodown swapmoto vibe lately. Some of it’s entertaining, but yeah, no one brings the analysis and fluff free content that James does.

I haven’t heard of Industry Seating.  I’ll have to check it out.  The thing I like about Bubba’s show is that not only does he obviously know what he’s talking about regarding riding at the tip of the spear while trying to manage a championship, but he also has a no F’s given attitude about sharing his true feelings.  Is JT as free with his opinions in his post race show?

James trained #23 for a while which gives his opinion on Chase's flaws a zesty tang.

Catanzaro's crash breakdowns are worth a watch.

Monday night football has the game with the regular commentators on the regular ESPN channel and the Manning Brothers on ESPN 2 giving their insight live during the game. They also have top notch guests on it as well. Some don't like it but I find it very entertaining.

Back to Bubba's show. I love how he is still the same guy and doesn't try to be Mr. Corporate like a lot of others do. He says what he thinks and doesn't play favorites to anyone. Respect to him for giving his true feelings about what he see's and his opinion without being worried about offending them. He probably intimidates a lot people in our small sport. Do you think he is worried about or gives two shits about being ostracized or blackballed by the moto community. I bet a lot of people love it, but can't say they do. The higher ups can't do anything but make him remove clips of the races from his show. He's got FU money and a huge fan base. I'm glad he's involved in racing again. It's very refreshing.

When he first came out,  I kind of had this weird vibe about him that he wasn't being serious or something. Glad I gave him a chance though.  He's sort of grown on me and offers some great insights, on line selection and things the riders are doing that are making them faster in sections than the other riders etc. Chase used to get input coaching from James and he said he had a hard time maybe translating what James was trying to get across. Wether it was James maybe not being able to explain it well or Chase having a hard time comprehending it all ,who knows?  I'd like to see him slow down some of the footage get a better look at what he's talking about.  I find myself constantly backing up the video trying to see exactly what he is talking about , lines, techniques, different rhythms sections etc.  Good stuff.

Yes he is, factual and respectful- straight to the point
