Mntn biking meets MX

The most bar banging action I have ever seen in Mntn Biking - some of those lines would still be sketchy on an mx bike

Interesting seeing those snow cannons permanently mounted!  Our local hill stores them in the summer.

This is what I hated on my first gp races.

Most races have a 10-20 foot rule but people will cut way off track to save a few 100 yards.

But you learn and adapt. Some of these track cuts are cutting a lot of corners.

But Hey! it's fair game for everyone right?

Chinese downhill.  The only rule is……there are no rules.   Get to the bottom first.

In this race there is no tape or actual course.  1st to the bottom wins.  Seems like going straight down the mountain would be faster, but in many cases that was the trail and tons of risk just sending it into the mountainside.  The go pro does that no justice, it is sketchy as hell.

That’s Bernard Kerr, the guy who was trying to race SX a couple years ago. Those races look so fun

To give some perspective, that's not a "race".  That's one of the Red Bull Fox n Hound events that they have been doing for a while. Participants sign up as Hounds (riders in the red shirts) to try and get down the mountain before the 3 Foxes, which are usually Red Bull athletes or other top pros. The Foxes start in the back and try and pass as many people as possible

Thats why that guy is calling out his passes, it's all in good fun and obviously he doesn't want to hurt people

Are there any rules or just find finish line first?
