That’s jus’ fuqing wrong, mister!
But, it IS funny.
You okay?
Grant Harlan asked Friese who he needed to knock down, Friese said JB, and then laughed. Everyone that was there said they were joking, that’s why it’s calmed down.
From everything I’ve heard until you just posted this, Harlan was the one saying $2-grand was the offer and and he didn’t seem to be kidding. Makes sense that they’d deny interviews based on a joke. That rings so true. Guess the jokes on him.

Everyone banging on Vince; tell me who got off the gate better than Vince in the history of Supercross.
When Brayton went on Pulp he sure seemed to think it was serious, he even said that he checked with Harlan and Harlan confirmed Vince offered him the money.
Are you calling Brayton a liar?
Mike Alessi?
I wasn’t there, so I’m not calling anyone a liar. I talked to a guy who was a few feet away with another rider and he said it was a joke and everyone knew it.
I’m not saying who, but an MCR employee said the same.
Harlan’s a nice guy, go ask him, he might tell you.
I just can't believe he would ask Harlan seriously to take him out . For one main reason . If you are going to pay for someone to take out brayton surly youd ask a rider who actually had the speed to get near brayton to pull off the move. I am not calling brayton a liar . But it sure as hell seem s like Harlan is
Yep, X2. Genova and Alessi apparently authorized Freise taking out Brayton- Everything went silent, with Brayton leaving and Freise staying.
Hmmm... Who Tonya harding'd him? (Ha... Ha)
Hope he heals up healthy.
Whoever told you that is either 100% lying, or is seriously misinformed,
Yet here you are...
My guess is no one told him that...it's in his head. Even it someone did would you be dumb enough to believe it?
I don’t know what went on behind the scenes (if anything) between Alessi Genova and Freise, but Brayton attempted to contact both of them to no avail. Nothing changed after this, except for other than both of them ghosting Brayton and Brayton leaving the team. The obvious question is Why didn’t they let Freise go? They obviously knew that Freise took out Brayton, yet appeared to be okay with it. Or Brayton just lied about everything. I guess y’all didn’t watch the incident and Braylon’s interview.
I clicked this post because I was surprised that I had completely forgotten about him.
"...a huge possibility that MCR is going away."
The most concerning info in the thread. That would suck. Guessing economy, have to make a profit in order to have advertising budget/tax write offs.
and nobody in moto-media is pushing for any form of statement or interview concerning the entire event. But back to our softball "post-race press conference"..........
Moto-media thinks the manufacturers have the power because "If we ask certain questions, they block our access" but they refuse to understand that the manufacturers NEED the moto-media way more than they've let on. Without the media pushing their riders/bikes, they lose all that free advertising. I wish the media would collectively push back and start asking some basic investigative questions about events in our sport instead of fawning over the podium winners and calling it a day.
Rant over.
Pit Row
How do you suggest the media gets them to talk if they don't want to talk? ML said he has tried, the answer was and is no. It's not like Mike, Tony and/or Vince are hanging out at the races and you can trap them at the urinal.
As for the manufacturers, MCR is a private team and if they don't want to talk Honda can't do anything to make them talk.
I know nothing about the so called ghosting. I will tell you that JBs contract was up and they want him back. I can also tell you that if Vince was healthy, you wouldn’t be seeing him on an MCR bike.
Your post underlines the issue that many of us have. Not that I don’t appreciate your info, but why is this coming from you and not the team? Why is it still such a mystery and MCR is unwilling to say anything about it? That seems chickenshit at the very least and pretty sketchy.
well, I can tell you that if a team circled the wagons and refused to address a HUGE issue in our sport, I surely would not continue covering them for free in my moto media magazine/website/videos/etc. Again, if the media said "Ok, then we won't talk to you....at ALL...they'd make a statement."
This issue isn't a hill to die on, I get that. But it's a chronic situation of 1. major issue happens, 2. the teams go dark, and 3. the media shrugs its shoulders and moves on. That's gotta change.
see my comment directly above. 100% agree.
Why do you say,, "kinda sucks for the guy"? Do you not think he deserves to be banned or at least get some form of reproval for what he has pretty much done the biggest part of his pro career?
If Genova and Alessi were encouraging him to ride like an idiot in order to keep his ride, I would say that too...but seems to me it's been his own doing.
I feel bad for him because he’s a nice guy who rides with a ton of heart.
He doesn’t do anything that Bam and Anderson don’t do, but yet all the so called fans shit on him.
I've been on the Brayton train since his KTM/MDK days. Yet, I believe he totally mishandled the situation vis-a-vis letting Mike and Tony get thrown under the bus alongside Vince. I expected a more mature, perhaps even 'in private' handling of the matter by Brayton when addressing it with the MCR brass. Brayton's career trajectory was pretty much a storybook of overcoming adversity. Ten years from now, I'm betting he will admit that he should have waited to speak with Mike before making public pronouncements that implied Mike was complicit in or supportive of Vince's actions. Some think Brayton is above criticism---I love the guy, but he threw a long-time financial supporter straight under the wheels. Thumbs down if you agree. 😎
Yeah, I get that. One can argue though that Barcia & Anderson are top-tier guys who generally (at least Anderson...) do it to pass going for a podium, or at least heading that way. Vince just seems to do it arbitrarily.
Mike never talked to him because he was in the hospital, so I’m not really sure why people are saying Mike ignored him.
I can respect that pov. But my thinking is Barcia and Anderson make seven figures a year, Vince is 35k plus bonus money. Every pass earns/cost him thousands.
Barcia took out Mookie last year for 300k, not third in points.
....and JB knew Mike was in the hospital, but continued on full blast.
