“Big fan” but no “Hope he’s ok” or anything like that. Lets just make a meme of his misfortune

I was there watching from the stands and it looked so gnarly. Glad he got up!

He was doing a table over single table making up a ton of time on Webb. On his 4th attempt he landed sideways on the first table and high sided at speed. His body landed right on a tuff block. Saved his life.

Happened right in front of us. Yes super glad to see him get up and finish the race. Holy shit that table to table line looked fast until he hit the tuff block. Luckily he face planted on the next tuff block then cartwheeled and landed on another one. The tuff blocks saved his ass on that one

Holy Shit! Luckily those tuff Blox were there. That was some major velocity off the bike.

Yeah we were super stoked to see him remount (after a quick inventory check). He was probably as surprised as us it wasn't worse. I think you're right he would have sa-lammed hard if not for those blocks

Definetly wouldn't have been pretty. Looks like you guys had some great seats to watch the races too. I'm going to be hitting up 3 rounds this year, I just hope we have a mostly healthy field by then.

Yeah our seats were hero this year. I owe my nephew beers for a couple years Laughing  He had a good year so he sponsored a suite for our desert crew. Tomac’s landing could have ended waay different

Awesome! One of my best friends works at an hvac company in Phoenix and they also have a suite. So my son and I are flying down for that round. My son has never been in a suite so he's pretty excited. We might even hit up my old stomping grounds on Mill Avenue in Scottsdale from when I was in boarding school. Glad you guys had a good time.

He hit his head on the ground/ obstacle.

Glad he’s okay.

I think he was feeling so superior, like he had to win every race. Like Kenny in '17. Good wake up call since it looks like he is ok both phisically and on the points.

I think he just made a mistake and crashed. It happens to everyone who rides a dirt bike from time to time.

Thankfully he’s ok.

Could be a season saved by the cushion effect of Tough Blocks.  That’s a new one.

What actually happened is he was cutting down to do that line every lap and end up on the inside in the following corner, but Webb picked up on it and stayed tight in the prior corner that lap. Eli tried to do the line around the outside which he hadn’t done yet and landed further outside than he was expecting. Pretty simple mistake, albeit with big consequences.

Exactly. Watching the replay he knew pretty quick on take off he wasn’t going where he wanted. Hopefully he’s still healthy, I wonder how much mentally that may impact him. He doesn’t go down much anymore and that was nasty.

He got super lucky to land on those tough blocks and take a glancing blow to his head not a direct hit, still didn't look good on the replay.

I wonder if he didn't hook up on the outside of the turn like he was expecting, the slippery track caught almost everyone out last night and it looked like he cut hard right before takeoff to fix the line bu not enough.

That’s what I saw too. Him and Kenny were both hitting it from the inside, Cooper took the inside that lap so Tomac tried it from the outside and I think either just drifted wide or the line up that face was at the wrong angle to “step on”.

My thoughts exacty, Tomac kind of hung back and thought about the get off a bit. I would venure that he made a decison about the  outdoors during the last few laps.

Now to get the SX Championship!!

I thought he got lucky until I saw him bounce his head off the kicker at the end of the table. Hopefully, he bounce back from this both physically and mentally.

If there wasn’t malice then why ask for it? OP is a douche. Don’t be one yourself, Chris.

Crazy crash. I was sitting row 3 in that section!  He was trying that table on off for a couple laps before that crash on the inside and was going so freaking fast. We had eyes glued to him when came through and tried the outside line.

The real life speed and violence of that crash was insane!  To walk away and then finish the race is amazing.

Off the top of my head, that’s the most I’ve ever seen someone saved by tuffblox. Two hits perfectly on them. Glad he’s alright.

Imagine if he landed on his tailbone on the  concrete next to the track like Cooper Webb did a couple years ago? Could have been a Championship ending crash like Webb.   Jeez that was the luckiest place tuff block.
