Got news that bike delayed another 2 weeks more. 25.1 is now estimate day. Next bike coming march so seems they are pretty limited in Europa.

No update so 25 january is latest info. I guess shipment to EU hasnt come to Holland because havent seen any new Yz450f at tracks other than some Yamaha team riders like Coldenhoff etc. Its getting late as off season training full steam at Spain and just month away from first races Spain/Italy.
Seems like bikes are starting to be available in Australia ?! If so, maybe January 25th is really the starting point here in Europe. At least I hope so

Well boys, I finally broke the ole girl in today, and WOW! This sure isn’t the Yamahas of the past.
First off, I rode Yamaha’s for about 18 years and my last one was the 18 450. It was the worst bike I had pretty much ever ridden so I ended up on a 19.5 rockstar edition followed by a 21 gas gas 450. They were all done up. ECU, exhaust, exhaust flange, Enzo KYB A-Kit, on and on. By no means did I consider them slow by any stretch of the imagination until I rode a WE 21 Honda. Lol.
First off, the fit and finish is so much better IMO than the Austrian bikes. Nice to be back on an aluminum frame though I didn’t hate the steel frame til it got higher in the hours.
I remember the feeling on my husky the first time I wanted to hit a tight section that the 18 yamaha struggled with and it went right there. Same section today and holy shit, it went even easier than the gas gas and husky. It’s amazing in the corners. The seat cover blows but guts is on that. Im 6’3” and 235 and the squished up feeling is gone and feels more like the 14-17’s 🙌🏼 it feels stupid light in the air too.
On to the engine… holy shit this thing is a beast… not in the Honda way where it rips your arms out from start to finish. I didn’t get to mess w the maps a ton and rode mostly on the stock one. It’s super mellow on the bottom then really ramps up about 1/2 throttle And in a f**king hurry I did end up going to the 50 tooth because I ride 3 palms and it’s typically really deep, and I’m 40 and just love 3rd gear corners. This may have to change back to the 49 depending on if I can tame it down through the middle with mapping.
Handling… so here’s where it gets tricky. Being that I’m 235lbs, I had Enzo valve a set of A-Kit forks and took a stock shock I bought off eBay and built me a kit shock. I am a big guy and I didn’t want to delay riding it a month by waiting to get the bike to do the stock forks and I loved my last set of a-kit from them. I’ve got some clicking and balancing to still do but overall I was pretty happy. It absolutely has some of that nervousness though. Not near as bad as I feared and I think I can get it better for sure. I’m going to try the 102mm and 4-5 on the forks that’s keefer recommended.
Sorry it’s not more feedback, but wanted to get a little bit out there off of 3 motos I got to squeeze in today. Feel free to ask anything y’all want to know though.

It was one of the worst bikes I’ve owned, don’t know what else to say. Sorry you don’t agree. Struggled w suspension and handling and the transmission took a shit. 🤷🏻♂️

It’s all good. You’re certainly free to form your own opinions about what bikes work best for you and no two riders will ever be the same.
That said, if you believe the ‘18 was the worst bike you’ve ever rode, but you love your ‘23, that tells me that I can’t take anything you say about the bike all that seriously as our preferences differ too much. Either that or I should go grab my deposit back from the shop and just go get a ‘22 lol. I’m not looking for something that is the polar opposite to what my ‘21 is.
I still can’t find one in Vegas. This is the first 450 I genuinely want to buy.

This does not make them crooks. They are not stealing from anyone. Customers can choose whether to support this shop or not. If customers are willing to pay the markup due to demand, then more power to them. If you aren't, that's ok too.
I agree. The 18 and 19 models were duds. I just could not get them to handle the way I wanted. The previous generation was better on every front. For that matter, although the 20 to 22 are an improvent, I don't think they are better than the 23 for the tight tracks we have in the UK.
First bike at shop floor in Finland so EU shipment came and we should see more bikes next week. Mine is not there yet sadly.
