It may have been easier to just copy and paste the entry list from A1 and then just removed the 6 or 7 names who will win....cause right now, the list you have provided is VERY incomplete. Tongue

No need to list the entire roster, the guys I listed are all top riders.

I bet Ferrandis and Stewart get one in this year.

I would be very surprised if Ferrandis never wins an SX main. His starts typically are bad, which could very well keep him out of championship contention if they continue to be supbar, but all it would take is a good start on a track he's comfortable on and I think he has the pace and aggression to get it done, at least once. Maybe not 7 times in a season though.

This is Tomac's last year, Webb and Anderson have maybe 2 more seasons in them... Sexton and Jett can't win every race.

Ferandis will definitely win a main either this year or next year. But I predict this year.

Stewart is only going to win a main event if the stars align, or if it's towards the end of the season and the top guys like Tomac, Webb, etc don't have to win out for a championship.

The stars we practically aligned on Saturday at A1 and it's very clear Stewart doesn't have the mental game yet to crank out a win. As soon as he got in the lead he started making a ton of mistakes. And eventually crashed out. Could be both fitness and mental.

It's going to take a perfect race and a lot of bad luck from others for him to win a main event.

Same goes for AC and Marvin. But to a lesser extent. They will need good starts and for others to have an off night.

This is a bold claim but I do give the OP credit for sticking his neck out there.  I guess it depends on who's healthy.  If Tomac, Sexton, Webb, Roczen, and Anderson were out, or a couple were out and a few had bad starts, then it's very likely the top four on his list would win a main.  But if not, it becomes a much tougher mountain to climb.

I would say of all these riders that Ferrandis is the most likely to win one this year, with Plessinger 2nd in line behind him. Malcolm has the fitness now but gave A1 away while leading.  Not sure if Craig is gelling with the new bike but time will tell.

Malcom will win at least one this year. Maybe more.

Tomac MAY be in for outdoors and another SX.  He just isn't deciding until toward the end of SX.  He said so himself.

For the sake of sharing an opinion…NOT for the sake of arguing…Laughing

I’m thinking Adam, Christian, Dylan, Marvin, Malcolm…all…just need to have a good day on a regular day…and they could win.

A Regular Day: No “suicide holes” between transfers due to wet weather…No completely insane track conditions that throw the likes of Eli on the ground…etc. Most likely an Indoor Stadium with excellent dirt.
A Good Day: No slamming the ground in practice/qualifying or starting the day out wadded up…etc.

Hell, this is another one of those years where we really could see quite a few…and even “new”…Main Event Winners.

I hear you TeamGreen and would tend to agree, but on second thought what are the chances 1, 2, 23, 21, or 94 aren't there to take the win?  With any of those 5 riders on track, and adding in Barcia and Musquin, there is a chance the OP could be right in his bold prediction.  I do think Ferrandis could be the spoiler for him though.

Agree on everyone but Marvin. He won last year so I would not discount his ability to win again, despite his Tomac-A1-before2023 performance at A1.

Every one of them has had a bad or “Meh” day…hell…look at last year…? Look at Jason’s race this last weekend…he has an argument with the ground early in the day…falls AGAIN in the main. And that yields…ten points out of 1st at the and of the day. That contributes to others having a good night/better night than his (Jason’s). Shit happens, right?

That’s the perspective I’m taking in a year where there are sooooo many REALLY fast riders.

But, hey, what do I know? I honestly think Joey could have a good night at a good track and end up on the box! Wink

You must mean this year,  not never.  At the. End of this year we will lose tomac and  potentially someone like roczen,  webb,  anderson barcia or such.  That changes the picture. How about 3 years from now.  Most of the  names have mention will be gone.

OP is into something. The only one I don't agree is Ferrandis, is the only one in that list with a 450 title (outdoors), but still.

Ferrandis I don’t agree, I think he could win next week and it wouldn’t be a stunner.

Other than that I don’t know if I’d put money against you.

Plessinger was on his way his last year on the Yam, could still see it happening on a sticky day but the clock is ticking.

Nichols, need more sample size to assess.

Malcolm/Craig maybe in an insane race with lots of carnage for top dudes.

AC and Savatgy, I think the ship has sailed. WSX will be different.

Good song but I want BigBoreFan58 to put his money where his mouth is. That’s a bold statement even if you just trying to spark conversation and debate.

I’ll take anyone on that list and the ever remark for $100.
