Fill it with sand and put some orange cones out there and let them ride

Move it to the Raiders Stadium in LV , since they sucked so bad this season . They won’t be using it during the playoffs.

Allegiant doesn’t want dirt in their stadium from what others have shared. Sam Boyd is still standing for whatever reason too.

Pulp indicated they will build a tame track and race in Oakland.

So Seattle 2018 then. Not exactly a fun time at the races (I was there). Highlights were Nicoletti completely stuck in a corner, and AP's post-victory mud dive. The racing sucked.

Oakland is happening. I heard it last night, they really have no other option. Anaheim and San Diego both have Monster Jam. Oakland had Monster jam this weekend so there is dirt on the floor. I’d expect a very tame track similar to what they did in Seattle several years ago. With how much rain we have gotten, and how much we have coming it’s going to be very interesting in how they pull this one off.

Having monster jam this weekend should help.  The dirt  already being there somewhat will help.

I don’t ever recall a race getting canceled, why some think that actually might happen

How do you haul 100% saturated mud?

Hydrovac.

They might need to hire some metal ramps from WSX

Looking forward to it. We haven’t had a super muddy race in years

Flew back home on Sunday from A1 and was talking to a team owner and he said that the dirt to be used for Oakland is sitting in 4” of water and is basically soup. Dirt Works doesn’t think they can build a track but Feld wants to move forward with it because that’s a lot of refunds they will have to give. It’s going to be canceled. It’s supposed to rain everyday this week.

Will be interesting to see. I just searched on Youtube for saturday night footage and you can see rain showers in parts but doesn't look too bad? You'd think they could have tarped a large part of it after the trucks left the stadium?

Keep in mind they have to build a track which takes the better part of a week. With the weather reports coming in, it's not looking to promising. I honestly don't know how they would build a track, or even a tamed down one at that. The dirt from the Monster Truck show is just sitting on the ground in an open air stadium. I haven't missed a Bay Area round in a long time, but Im 90% sure I'm sitting this one out. Bummer.

Cover up A1, and have A1 pt 2

That is not how stadium, advertizing, etc. contracts work. Im sure everyone wishes it were that easy, but its just not.

you’d think there would be an ample number of newer stadiums across the country with retractable roofs so we could avoid this.

There should be at least one more Glendale round.  It’s one of the best stadiums overall and has a huge floor which usually makes for one...

There should be at least one more Glendale round.  It’s one of the best stadiums overall and has a huge floor which usually makes for one of the best track layouts every season.  Usually, the weather is great but it also has a retractable roof.  Nice hotels and Westgate shopping and food a short walk.

The age old issue with football stadiums is trying to schedule a dirtbike race in the middle of the NFL playoffs. Even the shitty NFL teams dont want to schedule events during the playoff in hopes their team will be playing.

Potential Catastrophic California Storm Happening Now!

Here's a good extended weather report for that area. Looks like the next few races could be east coast style.

They should put the over-under in, dressed up as a castle, with a huge moat around it.

Tarping dirt that is already wet doesn’t help at all.

It is going to be nasty, there is no break in the forecast for them to build anything remotely dry.

I'd cancel the race.

Mud racing too dangerous, hard on the bikes.  Total waste of time to run a race like that.

We've had enough injuries as it is.

Just

Add

Sand….A LOT of SAND.

It’s been done before and there are SO MANY Sand Quarries on the bay. Hell, one of the most popular Bay Area Motocross Tracks was a sand quarry: Sand Hill!

Planning to go down for the race if it happens on schedule, but the friggin NFL also scheduled 49ers game at 1pm on Saturday!  Should we sit out in the rain in Oakland and watch a potential slop fest, or sit on the couch with the Niners game on one screen, and qualifying in said mud fest on the other?  Decisions, decisions, lol

That’s what I’m saying as well. I live up here and it’s been raining for the last month! You can’t find dry dirt anywhere. It’s supposed to rain nonstop all week and weekend! There is flooding everywhere up here now! It’s only gonna get worse throughout the week. If they can build a track it’s gonna be a complete mess. There will be one short practice. The heat races will be cut short as well the mains. I’ve sat thru my fair share of mudders, Anaheim, Oakland, even back when they had em in San Francisco. Not very fun. Spend $80 for a ticket to watch shortened practice, heat races, and mains just doesn’t suit me anymore. If there is a race, I’ll watch it on tv from my dry couch! If I wanna watch it in the rain I’ll stand outside and watch it thru the window!  If they aren’t racing jetskiis, the riders better have a mask and snorkel.

Has there ever been a Supercross cancelled due to rain?

Bring in the sand from E Street. Or just go race there...
