Ooooohweeee I can’t wait for Charlotte!
4 wide gives them plenty of room then it opens up after the grandstands. I may have to travel from Florida.

That Chicagoland track is huge.
This is sick.
Okay these are not disappointing. I thought it would be hard to do a real mix of super and moto cross, but this does it. Very exciting.
Glad to see the series coming back to Illinois for the first time since 2000.
Did anyone every ride Amago MX? That was the first super-motocross track! Haha.
Does that one start straight split and 180 on itself? Thats gonna be carnage. It is cool how they are doing it tho. It certainly makes statement and validates the speedway tracks.
As someone that prefers MX to SX, I actually like these tracks. High-speed non-jump-jump-jump-jump sections there if you look carefully.
The drag strip setup is especially cool to me.
I’m with you I think they killed the track layouts. Looks amazing.
a little confused on track 1 if that’s a split section or not but anyone who hates these track designs would hate anything.
Nate Thrasher is your 2023 250 SMX champ.
Which one you got?
I was kind of "meh" on this dealio, but now that we see the tracks and the locations, it just looks fucking cool. I'm fuhred up.
Meh -
Charlotte will be RBSR 2.0 With Turns.
You couldn't pay me enough to go within 3 states of America's own Chiraq.
And finishing in the Slums of LA. Big Fail for all 3.
(now lets fight on the internet about it)
I'm sure your last sentence will be accurate, but hopefully that's it.
Pit Row
When I heard that the SMX playoff tracks were gonna be based of Atlanta Motor Speedway’s design I got real excited.
I may be in the minority but I am already soooo burned out on this farce.
Looks sick! And the last time we had a split start like that was 2017 Monster cup I think. Gonna be a good year for us fans.
I am not there yet, but I am trending that way.
These are what I was thinking they were saying it was going to be MX and SX style. I was wondering if they would move Daytona to be one of these. Cool looking track layouts. And something to look forward to! Those big car tracks are a great place to make a track that is more of a Hybrid of MX and SX. I wonder if MX sports has thought of trying to run a national at a big car track . Build out a track like they do with SX just for the weekend. Maybe run an am day to help cover the cost. That would be super cool. It would bring MX into a more spectator friendly environment and would be cool for a couple rounds or so. Like the SMX finals. I wouldn't want to see the Nationals all in a place like a race car facility. But if 1 or 2 per year ,in the same area as they would be so no area gives up their race.
For me, going to a national has a more of relatable feel to it. You get to see the best in the world , ride the same track that You race . Yes the tracks look and feel different on the National days than the local race. But It was so impressive to see the way the top guys would go through a section , or corner that I had trouble with. And make it look so easy most of the time. Now that I have not been riding . Going to a Nation has lost that aspect. But it still gives me more of the raceday feel. I still get that nervous tickle in my stomach as I pull onto the road in front of the track. And it goes away after I get parked. At SX races I feel more like I'm going to a Car show , or tradeshow. And I do not get that feeling.
I raced an Am day at an Arenacross and it didn't go well. But the dirt was so amazing. Sticky with endless traction. I got hurt there and it took a lot of years away from me. But I still think it was amazing to ride on that dirt in the arena. And it made the track relatable like the local National tracks are. It would be so cool to have an am day and national at one of those big car style tracks. And promote the Am day race during the Pro race. Then maybe some spectators come back with their kids and see that MX is not just for adults , or super fast guys. They could see how there are other regular people racing and if they had any thoughts of getting into riding after seeing a Pro race, seeing the everyday guys ,kids, girls and women that race at the local levels might do more to inspire them to give it a try. I think that might be a way of getting more people into the sport as riders , and not just spectators. But either way the more people that love MX and SX the better. Even if it was to just blow up as a spectator sport. Then the guys just below the top guys could make the money they should be making .
I know its kinda off subject. But those big tracks just made me think of what would it be like to have a national in one, and then I thought about what the 2 styles of racing meant to me.And why I felt that way. Nationals are REAL moto to me. And I wonder if a national inside a big car stadium would have the good feeling of a national with the benefits of a nice facility . Or if it would be too polished and feel more car show like , like SX. Not that I do not like SX. Just going to an SX vs National are so different to me.And I thought, is changing the sport we love , so we get more people into it. Is it worth it if it takes away some of what we love about it? I think showing people the parts of the sport that made us like it , would be the better approach. I do think that having this deal with Peacock and the Playoffs concept will help bring in some viewers. But why dumb down MX and SX. It already seems so easy to see who is the winner. The guy that crosses the finish line first. And moto with the 2 motos is not hard to understand. The term Playoffs give me the feeling they are dumbing down the sport. But the tracks look sick, and It looks like the racing should also be amazing. Maybe asking a TV guy what they thought would help ratings was the key. And these "play offs" will help boost the sport. I've thought of A1 and the final round of SX as our sports Superbowl. The Daytona SX is our Daytona 500. But having that final SMX combined title should be a good thing overall for the sport. Even if the terms are a bit cringey .
450 I'm thinking B.
250 is probably pretty 50/50, going to depend how that single leading in is built, and double heading out.
Go to Charlotte and we'll burn one/fight.
I’m sure the teams love another drive across the entire country from one coast to the other. Although without looking at the dates, I guess they could drive from Ironman to Charlotte unless a huge gap in the last mx and first smx
good to see Chicagoland getting some events again
Seems pretty cool!
Give me Charlotte and Joliet all day. Awesome venues, let’s just cut the shit with this “SMX” scam
Come on, how are you going to call this your typical SX track but longer? You realize these have to be in a stadium setting so you’re not going to get natural hills and terrain like that. These tracks look amazing!
