Weird how F1 and Moto GP lingo seems to leak into our sport from time to time.

You don't need to sale your bike, you need to sell it, if it is already priced you might put it on sale for a lower price

I hear ya. I'd never heard of 'dealer markup' until I moved to California (I'm originally from South Africa and lived in the UK for almost 10 years).

The first time I saw it, I was in a Ford dealer and they had an F150 Raptor on the floor. It was 'marked up' $50,000 over msrp. I was dumbfounded, but I guess they wouldn't do it if people weren't stupid enough to pay it. 

The last time I bought a new dirt bike was 2018 and as far as I know, there weren't any 'dealer markups' in the moto industry. Sounds like this became a thing during COVID.

Either way, my gripe is with the dealers advertising discounts but then still applying a dealer markup. 

haven’t seen the bike up close yet but I’m digging the front fender. it’s going more in the direction of Bad Billy’s bike in Winner Takes All and I’m not even joking, it’s just a matter of time before designs go that way. Surprised it’s taken this long, honestly.

and incorrect and over use of the term “flex”. We get it, you been around some younger folk but trying to stick it where it doesn’t actually belong makes you sound old and trying too hard 

I cannot believe so many people have never heard the term "soupy". You left coasters must have forgotten that rain exists. 

Pretty common lingo here in PA.

A few months ago I was in a shop and one of the guys working there was talking about soupy and the nattys. 
 

He was also wearing a stocking cap in the summer.

Have literally never heard anyone call Supercross “soupy”.

Others getting their panties in a bunch about how I spend MY money. No. I don’t think a Factory Edition will make me any faster.  I’m 58yrs old and worked my a** off all my life to enjoy the finer things in life. If I wanna burn $100 bills in my fireplace, they’re MINE to burn. I EARNED them. You ride what you want. And I’ll ride what I want. Moto is my life. My work schedule is the only thing that limits how much I can ride. When I can’t ride, I like to trick out my bikes. You do you. I’ll do me. 

* Too many races on the west coast with 1/2 empty stadiums and not enough races on the east coast where the stadiums sell out.

* Commercials during races.  Use a split screen.

* Make it easier to watch the day time qualifying.

* Abolish the displacement rule. How is this even a discussion anymore?  This is probably the biggest sign of the idiocy of the folks in charge of the rules.  Or they are corrupt enough to take payoffs.

I honestly don't remember how it was referred too in the past 20 years, but the racecraft term is only a couple years old and just bugs me. Another that is starting to get thrown around, mainly by JT on the pulp show is the constant use of the word nuance.

 I think we have heard everyone of his "as young boy growing up in South Africa" stories.

GOAT needs to stop. It sounds dumb, particularly when one middle aged man calls another middle aged man “the goat”. It sounds forced, like some producer told him to say it to connect with the kids.

Yes the '23 front fender looks like ass. It looks like supermoto front fender or Ronnie Mac fender. DUMB.

And the only person authorized to call it "Supey" is Diana Dahlgren cuz of her DUMPY.

I constantly hate the "we" term on the podium. I understand when you're talking about during the week. "We made some good changes this week." Then the next sentence, "We made a good pass and we were strong thru the whoops tonight." Like dude, YOU made a good pass all by yourself. And YOU were the guy on the bike sending it thru the whoops ALL BY YOURSELF. Stop the overusage of WE.

While we're complaining, ban Freezy before he gets a chance to ruin the '23 season for all of us.

I agree with Rupert X about letting the 250 2 strokes in the 250 class. The power is so close they might as well just let it happen now.

John actually does have a +30 championship from the ranch. 

Dungey will forever be a king of "you know's" in the interviews you know?
