If ferrandis can fix his starts . He will win races .but that was the same question last year too
There were more problems than just his starts last year and this year. Even without being comfortable, he managed to qualify at the top of the board more than once.
He said the new bike addressed the issues he struggled with or at least some of them.
It will be interesting to see what he can do on a bike he's comfortable on in SX. He's a 2x 250SX champ for a reason, so he knows how to ride SX. Comfort is a big thing, and IMO, if he's comfortable I think he'll be a contender.
I know he's hungry for that 450SX championship.
I just hope all the guys get to A1 healthy.
Listening to AC’s last pulp interview, he ain’t that hungry.
Anderson, Sexton, and Tomac will win most of the races.
Roczen, AC, and Webb might snag a win.

Nobody got 18 with a possible win out east?
There’s this guy, he’s gotten better every single year since he went 450, last year he was unbelievable on a brand new bike that everyone else struggled with. Kicked everyone’s ass that has been mentioned in this thread other than 21 and 3…I heard the fishin has been reallll good this off season
Hopefully he'll ease into the season and eventually start laying down his typical fast qualifier then get a win or two and some podiums.
Add Ferrandis to that list. He's had a lot of issues but he has the speed and of he gets on a run look out.
Good call.
I think it's gonna come down to Eli, JA21, and Sexton. I do wonder how much attention the Honda crew will dedicate to Chase and his bike, after it's already been leaked before the season that he won't be there next year? There are probably some bitter guys at Honda over this scenario.
Nobody said that. Some folks said he didn’t look as good as usual and it made a bunch of people cry.
Don’t blow shit out of proportion.
I think the KTM will be in a better spot than last year but gonna struggle a little bit in SX again. The Yami is a new bike and new bike never sounds very good the first year. Honda and Kawa have a solid base. Could be a battle between Chase and Jason. If Tomac love the new Yami and the new Yami love Tomac, he will be tough to beat on 17 races. Probably a 3 way battle to me.
There are 3,5 riders that can win the title. Tomac, Anderson and Sexton. Webb is the .5 if he gets his shit toghether for this season (i doubt it).
Nobody else is winning the title unless these 3 (or 4) rider get hurt.
250*
AC…🏆
I can totally see Mookie getting that first win, and if he gets one...
21, 23 SX Champ.
No way…AC.
Pit Row
At this stage, I think that’s a fair call.
Although I wouldn’t be surprised to see Roczen wick it up, or Ferrandis jag a win if the new bike suits him.
Marv won't will a main. Unless you're counting heats
You know Ferrandis had never won a 450 outdoor race before he went out and dominated in 21, right? I’m not calling for the SX championship quite yet, but barring injury, the guy will definitely win at least one round.
Well that’s because he made his 450 debut in 2021. He had never raced 450 outdoors prior.
he currently has 27 450SX starts and no win, however.
He hasn’t really been knocking on the door for a 450SX win but if he stays healthy I can see it happening with some things going his way
Huge AC fan here, but I agree. I just don't see him winning it all. But I hope I'm wrong.
ACs vibe on the the pulp interview was kind of like I’m going to line up at A1 and see how it goes. He didn’t seem very confident. I like AC but I feel like if he’s not feeling it after a few rounds, he’s just going to play golf with Betts and wait for his analyst job for nbc.
Not a diss at AC, feel bad for all his injuries..
but I had completely forgotten about him, it’s been so long..
If…IF…he does race some East rounds on the 450? I’d put him on the “can win” list.
that's a stretch
How does a winner from this year, a guy who crushed straight rhythm suddenly become a non-contender?
20 pages about sandbagging and very little for a win? He had what 2 weeks on a 450 before MXoN and was one of the top riders there with a class win and now has 3 months on it between 250 testing. Slim chance but I'm not ruling it out. McGrath and Reed didn't win any races in their off coast - SX class races while in lites, but did in their first years of full time big boy class SX. No results for upper class - off coast races by RC, Villo or Stew in The Vault.
