Hi all! Does anyone know if the ECU from a 22 will fit the 23? I am thinking of taking advantage of the Twisted ECU black friday special but want to know if I get this for my 22 if it will fit the newer bikes. Obviously it will need remapped when I get a new bike, but just wondering if they are the same. Thanks!

Yes they are the same. Only exception is your stock map switch on the 23 will not work with the Vortex.
The box works and they can remap with 23 maps.

I definitely recommend their maps!

Yes all 22mm offset clamps are the same as stock. I put old ones on my bike.

Triple clamps bolt right up. The older top clamp is 2.5mm taller than the new clamp. The only thing that really affects is your fork height measurement, but that's just a relative measurement anyways. The newer top clamps also dont have the chamfer for the old o-ring underneath, but that doesn't affect anything.

More direct, there's no reason not to run the "old" clamps on the new chassis. They work just fine!

Seals are different also.... or do they make "adapter" spacers that fit the new/small axle and also the older seals?

Also, the spacer pipe inside the older wheels is 25mm and the newer one is 22mm. In theory, you'd need to remove the bearings and put the smaller spacer pipe in there. Can you ride it with the bigger one with no probs.. yes, probably. Just pointing out it's not "perfect".

Ktm power parts shows spacers to fit old wheel on new bike. I assume that caves to the old seals. It may be less expensive to change seals and bearing spacer. The seals are the same as the front.

What are you guys running for sag? A friend of mine is on a 2023 fc350 and says he is struggling to get the thing to turn. He only has like 3 rides on it so it's still breaking in. I think he's running 150psi in the fork. This is surprising since he's coming off a 2015 yz250f, which was one of the worst turning and widest bikes up front I've ever ridden. Anyways..... Thanks.

Just have 5 hours on the bike.  The throttle touchiness is my main issue with the bike.  It’s super sensitive and very “herky jerky” at slow speeds like in the pits.  On the track it just feels very sensitive compared to my 19’ Ktm 450.  Play is adjusted correctly.  Also tried switching throttle cams with no luck.  Also seems to have a pop on decel.  Any ideas?

Have you tried both maps that come stock? I noticed the bike to be very connected to a point where it was too touchy in some scenarios.  I tried the other throttle cam but that just gave it a weird delayed feel to me.

so I got the Vortex with maps from Twisted Development and run the -2 or -3 map to calm down feel. It’s still got a great connection but smoother for me to ride all over the track. Especially in corners

I run it in their “Best Map” when it’s deep or muddy in the mornings when I want all the hit right away.

I just ride in a higher gear for corners, it reduces the herky jerky feeling. The decel pop is irritating though, especially when using the FMF. I  might want to get a Vortex CDI to reduce engine braking and maybe that would also eliminate the decel pop.

Have tried both maps with and without TC.  Still cant find comfort.  Your statement is exactly my feeling about the bike.  It feels very touchy at times and upsets any smoothness I may have.  Bummed I may have to go vortex route.  Pretty spendy for an already expensive bike.  Overall I really like the bike.  Just feel like I cant push really hard at times with the stock setup.

Anyone have a base setting for the TPS?  May try bumping it to eliminate the pop on decel.

Do any 23 owners notice vibration more/less than the previous gen 350?  I have the 22 and considering trading up to the 23.  My only real gripe on the 22 is excessive vibration.  My hands start going numb after 8 laps of a moto track, and quite a bit felt through the pegs also.  I like the sound of the better low end power of the 23.  Does the new frame/engine change the vibration  levels at all?

I don’t know about the 350 but the 250 is a little worse in the pegs. I don’t notice a lot of difference in the bars but you can use third a little more which helps.

My 23 is much less vibration than my 2019 350SXF.  I got to ride my 19 back to back with a factory edition before I sold it and it was very noticeable less.

I got a Pro Carbon (UK) skid plate mounted! Took quite a bit more time to install than my 2021. The front holes use a bolt and nut, which is fine, but the 21 is much easier only needing an 8mm t-handle.

I also installed a Rekluse clutch cover to keep my bike looking fresh. I'm not a huge fan of the black OEM cover. They look absolutely roached after not too much seat time.

I'm looking forward to my first ride this weekend to see if it lives up to the hype.

I can’t speak for the 23 but I love my 22.  23 seem to have a little more giddy up so If you want more power out of the 22 get a vortex ecu.

If you have a KTM, go to a husky pro taper bar. Numbness gone. Had the same issue.

Hey Billy, any update on clamps for 23? Any testing results on the different offsets?

Thanks!

I have owned a 21 350SXF for a couple years and recently bought a 23 350SXF. I have to say that I was pretty shocked at the torque difference between them. I had been reading that there was a noticeable difference, but I was really surprised.  The 23 definitely has more grunt, and I definitely prefer it compared to the 21. For reference my 21 has a full FMF Ti system on it and I am running the vented airbox cover and 2 stroke filter cage. To me the 23 feels like it has a big bore kit installed compared to the 21. I am about 6'3 200lbs so the larger chassis of the 23 fits me much better as well. I think shorter riders would probably prefer the old chassis compared to the larger 23 frame. I have about 50 hours on the 21 and have had zero issues with it. Hoping the 23 will give me similar results. First upgrade to either bike should be the to get rid of the rigid Neken bars imo.

I agree with you on your assessment of the gains of the 23 over the 21. My 21 had your same mods, and also included a Vortex.

Still doesn't compare to the current stock 23. To the OP, I vote 23 all the way.

I’d say it’s worth it. Like others have said, the motor on the 23 is really good. I’m a smaller guy at 5’8 and 155lbs and I love the 23 chassis compared to my old 21 350. At first I wasn’t sure but after about 10 hours it really got alot better.

Forgive me if this has been posted, I didn't go through the 14 pages of comments about this bike.  I have one in the garage but haven't ridden it yet.  According to the lackeys at MXA:

"The new-generation KTM/Husky models have issues with the needle bearings walking out of the inside of the linkage’s bell crank and hindering the movement. A slow-moving linkage won’t allow the shock to work properly, and it causes the rear end to feel dead. Check to see if you’re having this issue by removing the bell crank and checking to see if it rotates smoothly or gets hung up. If your linkage is hanging up, replace the needle bearings with a new cage bearing (KTM part number 58033097000).

Has anyone had this issue or made this fix?  They are also claiming it affects all of the '23 KTM's, wanted to ask before chasing down these parts.
