Seriously though, when he first said he would line up at A1 no matter what, I still didn't believe that we would eventually see Kenny as a privateer. Now it's already less than 2 months. Cool to see him doing what he wants now, hope he finds the right bike or team. He needed a mental reset from the Honda imo.

Reed put white plastics on the bikes he was testing, even though he wasn't under contract with a manufacturer. He would then post grainy pictures of him on the mysterious white bike hoping to attract the attention he so desperately desired. In comparison, Roczen is being pretty transparent. He's a free agent and he's going to try everything.

The common knowledge is that Kenny purchased 1-2 kawis to try out. He also flew to ClubMX to try out the new Yamaha so he could weigh his options. He doesn't have much time left to get a bike sorted with parts and setup so he is on a rush job to get it all worked in and start prepping for A1

Have you guys seen any of the other threads? It's a constant bash fest, maybe it's not as prevalent in this thread but the hate toward Kenny lately has been off the charts. I'm not interested in arguing with individual posters about something as stupid as this and it's not just with Kenny, I'm just getting a little tired of people clicking on threads and commenting just to talk shit about a topic they could easily choose to avoid if they're not interested.

Kinda cool to see Kenny bike shopping. I wonder if his decision would come down 100% which bike he likes best, or if he'll base it on how much support he gets. Probably a combination of the two but if it were 100% bike this is really interesting.

Interesting that he seems to have almost free reign in trying things out, yet he hasn't been near anything from his Austrian neighbours, unless I missed it.

Is it because he's faithful to the Jap bikes and prefers the general feel, or is it that it may be tougher to get assistance or market effectively due to KTM group bike and KTM / GasGas having their official Red Bull connection?

I guess it may be wise either way, what with the bike setup complaints from Webb and Co last season and Kenny's apparent sensitivity to finding the right setup for him, but maybe I'm way off base there.

I don't think anyone responded to this yet.... I had seen this last week. Sounds like Lars was cool enough to let him be with Roczen, but he's still with Honda.
