i saw hill at his second pro race at broome. he got a 2nd in moto two and 3rd OA. what happened to that josh hill?

idk if its just me, but he looks chubby and not in that good of shape. do you think his string of small injuries holding him back is due to lack of training and he's relying on his talent? still busy with shenanigans with j-law?

he did well when he first turned pro, and when he first hopped on a 450, then he seems to lose motivation after a while. will he ever live up to his potential?

will he be able to get a factory ride next year? thoughts? opinions?

And Motocross fans are even tougher. Or at least tougher on the riders.

i was curious because i became a fan when i saw him ride at broome, and i hate to see him keep going downhill. maybe he needs to get booted off of a factory team to get his motivation back, or help him appreciate what he has

I have faith that he will be just fine after he heals up from a brutal 2009 from the start..

He just turned 20 a month ago and he is one of the better SX riders even riding cut on and reinjuring the shoulder.

Justs needs some luck from the injury bug. Tough sport, but he'll be just fine and have a good career....maybe an SX only deal; whatever he does, I believe in Josh and his talents.

Good luck Josh.

I really hope some of your parents and peers wrote you off so soon in your younger years. Having said that I hope that was fuel to the fire like what I had growing up being told you wouldnt amount to anything, so in return I worked my ass off to prove those who doubted me wrong. Ive said it before and I will say it again, some of you really dont ever truly think before putting yourself into someone elses shoes. Yes we know some make millions in this sport, but those are few and far between. Just for those who have had a rough year, I hope they come back and do ten times better then their best years so far, just to prove the doubters wrong. Ive had this happen first hand, have you?? To those who have I respect you.

They showed pictures of his ankle in 1 of the magazines and it was ugly. Trying to race with injuries isn't much fun and with other injuries like shoulders and back problems he needed to get off the bike and heal up. It's amazing if you try to race hurt they dam you and if you sit out because of injuries others dam ya!

The problem with back injuries is that no one can REALLY tell you are hurting.

There's no cast, brace, stitches, bruising, etc.....

But looking at Hill's results, I'd say it's pretty obvious that something was wrong, and I give him the benefit of the doubt. He seems like a pretty good guy.

Hopefully he comes back strong in 2010.

I want to make that much money to underperform. I'm jealous of Hill, not mad at him or writing him off. He's no different than anyone else who gets paid to do what most would do for free, whether it be stick and ball sports or motorsports. U sign up for the pressure when you sign the deal, there's no crying about it later just cuz you couldn't handle it or it didn't go your way.

Have you won a supercross lately? Didn't think so! Once he heals up and get's some confidence back he will do just fine. The kid haul's when he's healthy.

Is he signed for next year? If he isn't ...Good luck.........Based on what he has done the last year he is gonna have a hard time finding a ride. He seems like a good kid....though. I don't know if he is hurt/, not training, just gotten slow, but whatever it is he better find some results. In this ecomomy there isn't alot of money to spread around to these guys.....

Haven't won an SX, but thankfully I graduated highschool and got a few degrees in case my moto career didn't work out. I'm sure Josh thought ahead so he'll be fine if he continues to underachieve while earning big money.

Back injuries; bulging disc(s). Off remainder of Nationals.

Been since early in Nat. Season along with the ankle that had him miss last few SXs.

Good kid?, sure I believe that. I root for him and wish him the best but he has a reputation because he got drunk with J-law in texas last year and was basically riding around in 12th place if I remember right. Thats not the fans fault he made that decision.

We(the fans) all go to work and do our best, sometimes for meager pay. We hope to make more money just so we can buy a new bike every other year instead of every fourth year. So when we see somebody getting paid to race and for good money(its good money to the fan) then we're a wee bit critical when they may,...may seem to be pissing away that paycheck.

I know his back probably hurts and thats a legitimate reason to be down. But nobody would question his work ethic or desire if he didnt get drunk with J-law and let his pants fall off his fat ass.

The problem is that not just the fan's have wrote Hill off, but the Team's have written him off also. He needs a job after this year and the fan's aren't going to give him a job, the race team's need to hire him and the word on the street is his at the bottom of everyone's list.

Rider's get out of this sport, what they put into it. Yes, injuries are part of the sport, but if a rider show's interest in his job, team's see this and may keep a rider around. If they feel a rider is just milking the system, he will be out of a job and down on the rehire list for the up coming year.

Its not that they dont think before thay post, They just want to piss people off by posting stuff that they know nothing about. Classic case of misery loves company, or a better way of putting it is "I never amounted to anything so i will tear down others who have"

Bottom line is he is still young and lets say when he quits racing he can go to school and get a couple of degrees and have a future away from mx and he can still say that he won a SX and was a well paid factory rider. You will never be able to say anything even close.
