Bogers still riding Husqvarna so maybe team will continue with Husqvarna after all?
Nope, Honda for both of them. Same team

No. A team structure is limited to three riders in total, regardless of class. DeCarli is running two MXGP riders and a MX2 rider in 2023, they can't run any further riders in either class now.
I have watched MXGP for a lot of years and did not realize this was the case. What is the reason for this rule? Does not make sense when gates are less than half full at many races as someone else noted.

Not that many teams would have the resources to go much beyond the 3 rider structure, but why not give them the chance if they wanted to?

No. A team structure is limited to three riders in total, regardless of class. DeCarli is running two MXGP riders and a MX2 rider in 2023, they can't run any further riders in either class now.
I dont think that is the case anymore actually. As in like the last 2-3 seasons I think they did away with that. I still dont think you will see many teams do more than 3 anyways.

Yeah I asked Lewis about it. It was a rule but sometime in the last couple years it went away.

Based on svankempens post we now have these confirmed entries:

1. Jorge Prado-Garcia (MXGP)
2. Mattia Guadagnini (MXGP)
3. Jeffrey Herlings (MXGP)
4. Alberto Forato (MXGP)
5. Jeremy Seewer (MXGP)
6. Glenn Coldenhoff (MXGP)
7. Maxime Renaux (MXGP)
8. Calvin Vlaanderen (MXGP)
9. Kevin Brumann (MXGP)
10. Romain Febvre (MXGP)
11. Mitch Evans (MXGP)
12. Tim Gajser (MXGP)
13. Ruben Fernandez (MXGP)

15. Brian Bogers ? (MXGP)
16. Stephan Rubini (MXGP)
17. Valentin Guillod (MXGP)
18. Alvin Ostlund (MXGP)
19. Tom Koch (MXGP)

1. Simon Langenfelder (MX2)
2. Andrea Adamo (MX2)
3. Liam Everts (MX2)
4. Sacha Coenen (MX2)
5. Cornelius Toendel (MX2)
6. Lorenzo Ciabatti (MX2)
7. Kay Karssemakers (MX2)
8. Isak Gifting (MX2)
9. Jago Geerts (MX2)
10. Thibault Benistant (MX2)
11. Rick Elzinga (MX2)
12. Joel Rizzi (MX2)
13. Mikkel Haarup (MX2)

20. Yago Martinez ? (MX2)
21. Jan Pancar (MX2)
22. Tom Guyon (MX2)
23. Raf Meuwissen (MX2)
24. Petr Polak (MX2)
25. Romano Aspers (MX2)
26. Bobby Bruce (MX2)

I added Martinez in mx2 (because he is confirmed) and removed Spiess in mxgp because based on the announcement he will do only a couple of wildcards.

That makes 19 and 26 confirmed riders for now.

MX2 is actually starting to look pretty decent, i think we'll end up with around 30 confirmed guys for the full eu calender.

MXGP i'm not sure if we get close to 30 though. I'm expecting a bunch of wildcards every round with emxopen ending, but i dont see 10 full timers to still be announced

Alexis Fuéri is going EMX250 with Maddii and probably the 250 2 stroke.

No idea, but keeping it under wraps until January 1 won't be easy!

Yeah cant see anywhere near 30 in MXGP. Ben will be in MXGP and I know that Mewse said he wants to do 10 MXGP rounds but cant see that happening, more likely to do 2 or 3.

Some Wag suggested Beta for Watson.

I remembered his brother being on the winning British Trophy Team at this year's ISDE. For a few minutes I just thought of the Red of his bike, thinking, well, his brother might be a connection.

Then, I remembered Nathan was on a CRF. So much for that moments bit of silliness on my part. Whistling

Really?

I think that would be great.Cool

He's an undeniable talent, that should still be out there in the GPs.

If Beta did not put too much pressure on him ( be realistic about Their current limitations, with getting into the deep end of Motocross, not just his) and, say, they retained Jeremy Van Horbeek as an advisor / trainer / developer, I could see good things come from it.

It was mentioned in Searles vlog last night that Ben flies out to Italy to test with his new team. Pretty sure that’s him going to Beta. Think that’s a good move for him

I'm not sure if people are writing Watson off. Imo most just react on the posts saying Watson is actually doing a good job and should have a factory ride.
Think Watson could have a similar career to bogers. Struggle with the factory rides, have a year rebuilding, start to impress again and will be back...

I hope he has a big ‘23 to show he still has the goods!!

Filip Olsson & Leopold Ambjornsson confirmed for MX2. Olsson will do the EU rounds, Ambjornsson the full season.

They had Sydow in '21 after finishing 6th overall in '19 and doing gp's in '20
They had Elzinga in '22, after finishing 3rd overall in '21
They will have Bonacorsi in '23 after finishing 4th & 6th overall in '21 and '22

I really like it that Yamaha is putting so much effort in talent development, but i wish they would put guys like Sydow, Elzinga and Bonacorsi simply in MX2 and not return them in emx250.

Lapucci on the new 300 in the MXGP would be nuts. That guy can ride a 2 stroke.

Still it would be hard to go against the Factory 450s and i guess the 300 is not legal in MXGP right?

He was on a 2 stroke in gps last season but switched to 4 strokes after a while. Not sure if it was 250 or 300

Yep unfortunately 250cc is the limit for 2 strokes in MXGP.
