Heard rock to hand. Broken finger?

that's too bad.. he sounded really down on himself a couple weeks ago.

I get dissapointed as a race fan, when he doesn't race. I'd like to know what his sponsors think.

He pulled off after 2 laps of practice with a clutch issue. His mechanics tested the clutch in pits, seemed ok. Did the sight lap of the first moto, didn't see him after that. I was disappointed- wanted to see the kid race. Not sure what the true issue was.

Just before he pulled off in the first moto...

He'd already pulled the glove off.

I wouldn't race if my hand looked like that either. Hope its just a flesh wound and not all of his fingers broken. Must have been a gnarly rock.

Wondering the same thing after seeing that pic. For as long as I have been watching MX, standard MO for the pros at Unadilla is hand guards on the bike. He might not like them, but in this case it might have saved his hand.

Either way that sucks! No one wants to catch a rock to the hand.

Man people on this board are real winners huh? Looks like his hand is EFFED up. That sucks... the kid has definitely had his share of bad luck this summer. Whatever..see you next week where JLaw will dominate. 'Member when he got 8th (I think) his rookie debut on a Suzy at the 'wick. I am predicting J Law will win at Southnwick...if his hand is a hundo perecent.

That sucks...I hope it's nothing serious! Get healed up quickly J-Law…we want to see you put it on em’ at The Wick!! J-Law has horrible luck (and poor judgement in some cases), and the timing with the economy and factory rides going away couldn't come at a worse time. I hope he lands on a decent team next year, or continues with his own team and turns it all around!

What little I know from working with a few riders is that they are extremely picky about their controls, and hand guards may throw them off in some way. But you would think the injury risk would make you give it a try, and they had plenty of time to practice with them on before the race with that long break.

Mine broke and I have not replaced them yet. Yesterday I took a big rock right off the clutch perch, darn near nailed me. I just ordered the replacements.

I hope J-law recovers and gets back into the mix as well. It's good for the young fans to see how someone like J-Law can put a successful career together after the kinds of setbacks he has had.

Racing without hand guards, with 39 other 450s is just plain dumb. And I'm not talking about just JLaw here.

The kid is talented, but has no direction or plan. It's a shame he will have to foot the bill again for his own team next year.
