I used to lay an MXA magazine in my English book and read the bike test's 20 times.

I never invite first time testers for a Shootout. But maybe we could figure out how to get you in one in the future after we do something in between to decide if it's even a good idea or not. Laughing

Play your cards right and the Vital offices could end up with a new American made stairway hand rail

That would be a dream come true, I'm down for anything, just let me know.

Thankyou.

We all know you would put the RMZ in first... Tongue
His scoring sheet would say

First Place - RM-Z450

Last Place - Everything else

Nothing better than a bitchin Suzuki parked in front of a Nelson Custom Home.

That bike would win the shootout for sure.

This is what happens in an incestuous situation. Sadly there isn't any money in this sport for objectivity.

Well that's a real bummer and very disappointing to hear.

Don't' know what the beef is....but for what it's worth, I think you've really taken this place up several notches since taking the reins. I think most would agree.

I do like Ping and his content as well.

EDIT: Reins!!!

I agree, as well. I love Ping, he's always been awesome in my interactions with him, and while I tend to agree with most of his opinions/viewpoints, his complete disregard for a differing opinion has ramped up a bit unfortunately.

Meh. Compensated promoters are commonplace in all media for all products across all segments.

Buyer pay fuckin' attention.

They are, and buyer better pay attention. BTW, not a knock on the new Yammer Haw, by all accounts it seems like an amazing machine.

I have no idea what Ping said, or anyone that rode the bike at the Goat Farm. But I rode our team race bike '22 450, back to back with the '23 450 at a very familiar track, and, in my opinion, hands down the 23 is a better motorcycle. 2 polar opposites, couldn't feel like 2 different bikes any more than they did. I was super impressed, it was a lot of fun in stock trim, I can't wait to start testing with them

Didn’t Tomac want to ride it at MXON? Maybe that says something about the new machine. I really liked the 20 I had but unfortunately I suffer from arm pump pretty bad so I sold it. Went with Kawi since they have a tamer motor. I thought the Yamaha was a great bike but it was super connected to the ground and stupid fast. Not the best combo when your throttle hand won’t work. I hope to 23 is more linear than the previous generation. I’d love to try another

He said it is hands down a similar motorcycle. 2 Non-polar companions, couldn't feel like 2 of the same bikes any more than they did. He was not super impressed. No fun in stock trim, and would patiently wait to start testing them.

Compare to Honda?

Im just always apprehensive to completely buy into something based off paid media guys first videos.. not that I don't trust them, but money talks. Maybe not direct pay from them, but....

I bought my 21 WE early without much input other than everyone loved ergos n mapping sucked. It's been great so far but the new blue has my eye.

Not a Ping hater, but ride the bike some more before it’s the greatest bike ever.

I remember reading the first reviews for the 2010 YZ450.
I agree and that thing was a pile of shit . Right up there with the 97 cr250.

So am I the only one who thinks opinions might be skewed based off the fact yamaha invited these guys to ride? You don’t cut the hand that feeds you so to speak. Would probably not be invited back if you bashed the bike right after they invite you to ride it. Maybe I’m looking into it to much.
