Not sure but may not end up doing a full MXGP season and just maybe Euro gp’s as I can’t see home singing for a decent team at the moment. Thought his best bet was gebben but think he will struggle to even get that ride

I see Davy Pootjes listed at JWR (with ?) on the list by Kemco posted a bit earlier (thanks for that update btw!).

But that can't be possible right, that Pootjes gets a ride after what he showed this season?

I think you can pay your way in these teams. Not sure if he has personal sponsors that will cover cost anyway.

Yeah for sure you can pay your way into a team. But just look at his GP's this year ...:

Sweden: did ride in warm up, not in races
Belgium: did ride in warm up, not in races
Czech: did ride in warm up, did 0 laps in moto 1, nothing in moto 2
Germany: Finished a lap down in moto 1, 13 laps down in moto2
France: did ride in warm up, not in races
Great Britain: did ride in warm up, not in races

I have no idea what the reason is for this, and i also understand why some teams need to take a paying rider due to budget issues, but why would it help a team (and Pootjes) to spend money and simply not ride the motos...?

I just had a look at those events. Looks like he is just off the pace. You'd think racing the motos would help with that but finding three seconds a lap isn't easy.

Pretty sure Mitch at kawi is a done deal. did hear about his hip break but pretty sure he will be good to go start of the season and shouldn’t effect him signing for them. Can see some decent riders not being involved at all in MXGP next season and even with them helping out with freight cost and lowering entry fees I think the gates will be low again next season and if something doesn’t improve could actually see it disappears all together

Have to agree mate. Can see this year or next, being the last year of MXGP.

And what about Husqvarna 450 side? Any news on that?

JWR haven't signed any riders yet but it's unlikely that Pootjes will be back there.

Oh, he wasn't paying for his ride this year either. The team paid him a salary.

Conrad will wildcard a few MXGP rounds, supposedly, but I can't see it... When has that ever worked for someone on Dave Thorpe's team?

Joel Rizzi will be in MX2 again, but that's all that's confirmed at the moment. Watson is still out there.

In an interview with the team boss he said that Davy was never happy with his suspension, but he was also around 7 seconds off the second to last guy and that he never put and effort in and that suspension doesnt work very well when just riding around. 😄

No Husqvarna riders in MXGP (factory at least) next year, but it sounds like that could change in 2024.

Be interesting to see how Evans does. Second year for the team , you could argue he has had a season like Watson had on Yamaha , this year, on the Honda, so will he be better or worse.

Watson hasnt forgotten how to ride, he would be a good fit at Gebben, they get what is needed.

The 7 seconds off to the second to last guy was not at all the case in the timed practices. He never qualified last and had GP's where he put 5+ riders behind him.

it was more like he was on and off during the weekend. I watched him at Lommel this year, and it was like night and day between different sessions. He looked pretty fast in first practice & timed practiced and then just mailed it in the other sessions and didnt even line up for the races.

I would have liked to see Watson at Gebben too, but the last that I heard was that they want their second guy to pay.

Monticelli will be in the British Championship with the ASA team, I believe. He told MXGP teams that he doesn't want to pay anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gebben just run Vlaanderen.

yeah will be interesting to see how mitch does. I do believe he has more raw speed and if he stays fit I see him on the podium a lot next year and even some overalls too.

Kevin Brumann was testing a JM Honda a few weeks back at Lommel

Alvin Ostlund will be on a JWR Honda

I thought Bobby Bruce was doing Mx2 next year also?

Guillod, Beaton got anything?

I forgot about Ostlund going to JWR! Bobby Bruce's plans confuse me... It seems nothing is clear.

Nothing for Beaton or Guillod at the moment. Not many options now, as a lot of guys are scared of JWR.

Hey Lewis, have to agree, can’t see Conrad doing any MXGP. Same with Tommy he always said he wanted to do some MXGP rides but it never happened. Is this why Tommy signed for REVO? Could we see Tommy doing some MXGP or AMA stuff next season I commented on his YouTube video from MXON asking about doing some big races for his last year and he said it’s on the cards. That would be some great content

If Tommy feels like he is riding well then, yeah, I think he will do a round of MXGP or Pro Motocross. That wasn't why he moved though. Everything lined up so that the Revo deal was better than anything else by quite a way.

Scared was the wrong word... Some guys are hesitant about whether the package is going to be good enough.
