I've always wondered this, maybe ML or someone else has more insight to it but the whole James thing...I get that they wanted him to be on a full "factory" team but was there really any difference with the bike? Especially in those days PC was known to have the best bikes and the factory team pretty much uses all PC parts anyway. Other than maybe being paid more or having less riders under the tent so more focus was put on him I never really understood it.

Didn't PC build him that 250F he rode for his last national in the "Lite's"?...

Jeremy (his old mechanic) did an interview with Ping I think it was not long ago that gave a lot of good details about when Jame’s turned pro and the whole PC/Factory Kawi deal.

The late Georges Jobé's Honda CR 500 from the '92 Glen Helen 500 USGP. Mitch Payton of Pro Circuit built this bike specifically for Jobé to ride.

Didn't Erick Vallejo do a stint as a fill in?

Hopefully I am not mixing him up with Pedro.

Edit: yup, found a racer x article where he mentions 4 races filling in during the splitfire era.

The ONE and ONLY # 555 Shaun Palmer

OK Mitch lost a bet, but Palms was on a full PC 250 until he left a pinky in the GH fence.

What could have been!!!

Can't argue with the results 👍 But they could have had more out of Tomac if he'd actually been happy to be there.
Not like Tomac is the only one to have negative things to say about them either. RV and Weimer too.

All a part of the shop support / Husky days though, right?

I started the thread for main race team only, just bit to get it all mixed up too much.

Yes Husky days, I was just messing around. PC Husky had the coolest vibe, always a party.

I did forget Bones, he had the sanoest Husky 125 I’ve ever seen, all their bikes were always so nice looking.

Well that would have been more useful then the damn hour I spent coming up with my list. Albeit, I wasn’t as far off as I expected. I tried to go backwards through the years.

However, looking at that list some of the fill-ins are missing.

Anyone remember any further fill-in riders or one off race guys?

Why repeat someone that’s been named at least twice?

Had to dig these from under the bed. I always wondered why they gave Matiasevich a poster separate from the rest of the guys that year? I’ve had that framed poster since 99 but it just sits in the closet now. Always wanted to get the whole poster autographed but the other dudes were east coast I’m pretty sure. Not sure why I didn’t get any from the following season signed.
