Anyone catch Monday kickstart with swap and JS7 ? Said he was down to 140 something and when asked if he was training. He just laughed and said maybe. Funny thing he talked about his kids watching videos and him signing autographs like it was no thing. But when they saw him ride they were like wow. Makes you wonder if he has been back on the bike a bit.

You have a link? I’m on Sawpmoto YouTube channel and see no mention of James.

It’s at about the 42 minute mark on Swap’s latest Life On Two Wheels vlog. He said he was close to 200lbs at his biggest. 😳
The thing that really got my attention though was that he and Reed have both mentioned riding against each other in separate videos this week. Makes me wonder what they’re cooking up…

I saw Stew at Budds and he looked really trim. Also he is much shorter than I ever realized!

Guys, if he wanted to race again, same as Dungey, he could absolutely do it. And yes, he’d probably win. It’s that simple, he’s that fast. Probably not happening, but it could.

They're all tiny haha! I'm more surprised when I see a guy who's not short. Saw Davi in the Budds pits and he was "normal" sized

Regardless of the topic at hand, it's great to see James so damn happy and easy going. Not that he'll ever race professionally again, but it sounds like something is definitely brewing. Also, it's always good to see/hear from Big James, too.

I’m Stew’s biggest fan, and you’re out to lunch with that take.

I don't think most people understand how impressive what Dungey did this year really is. James Stewart at his peak, no doubt one of the best to ever do it. But his last five years of MX was a major decline from his peak. On the other hand, Dungey was winning until he retired. I took a look at there last five years, which happen to be the same, 2012-2016. Stewart: 28 races for 4 overalls. Broken down a little further, 56 motos, with 8 moto wins. Dungey: 51 races for 25 overalls. 102 motos, with 43 moto wins. Plus, Dungey is nearly 4 years younger. I don't think there's any way at 36 years old that Stewart could even come close to what Dungey did this year, much less win. And yes I realize you're probably meaning indoors for Stewart, but I don't think it would be much different.

What does James coming back even matter? The guy left the sport because of expectations like this. He just wants to be in the game now. He wants to be around it and talk about it and make a living from it without breaking his body down anymore. He’s earned that right and it’s awesome to see how far he has come since launching his podcast last year. Full on crushing it

He sounded like he has to feed the kids by himself. Maybe this means he is happy and ready for a change (some limited racing). Admittedly, I may be reading too much into his statement.

James to even be around the sport and seems happy is good for the mx scene. If it's being a mini dad or playing around like Chad Reed is a good thing. For him to lose 40 pounds is pretty crazy kind of like RC did as well. I was a huge fan of his and just happy that he seems in a good spot and having fun being around the sport again.

Because he's 4 years older than Dunge, and has rung his bell more times than anyone but Pastrana.

Dungey was known for being a clean rider. Could it be the other 1000 times James hit the dirt by his own account that ended his career early?🤫🙄
