Guillod deserves a shot with a mxgp team, every time he shows up to race he does pretty good and runs the pace for a while. A good off season of training i can see him doing very good in mxgp.

He been trained by Yves De Maria at https://www.lovemytraining.com with some others like Rubini.
He was superstar when riding MX2 (you get different info from people) but talks were he didnt want to move and ride in Lommel day in and out at that time. Then career turned down and he did quit racing before giving another shot. Seems he takes training seriously as early part his career seemed to go with talent.

I heard the same rumour about him not wanting to riding in the sand. He only seems to ride the hard pack tracks.

Yeah he should inmxgp, but unless he gets a paid ride he is better off doing what he does now. Some decent money to be made in swiss, german, french championship.

From his Instagram post, looks like Beaton is out at F&H too.

What are his personal issues he´s talking about? Family health or something else?

Any news on Standing Construct, and especially on Bogers and Jonass for 2023?
They lost their factory team status/support, so curious what the plans will be...

Pretty sure they’ll be racing in 2023, maybe with a different manufacturer. Sounds like Bogers will be staying there the way he was talking in his interview with MXvice after Turkey

Good interviews from the GP of Turkey. Bens was really interesting and really gave us an insight into how tough his year was mentally. Also interesting to hear about the state of MXGP and the overall feeling within the paddock. Think Ben would do well under some one like Marc dereuver who has a laugh but could also help him mentally. Really hope it improves next year as for me was just a season to forget.

Yeah, both Pauls and Brian will be back with Standing Construct in 2023.

I'll be doing a bigger interview with Ben later this month, where we'll do a deep dive into everything.

I was glad that he opened up and explained how tough this year has been on him. Thanks for listening!

Thanks Lewis for all your insight with the podcasts. Can’t wait for that Ben interview. I don’t think people realise sometimes the amount of mental pressure being at the top of any sport can bring. I’m sure Ben will bounce back especially on an Lewis Phillips racing bike may have to offer him more than half a mil tho 😂

So:
* EMX250 max age changed from 23 to 21
* EMXopen from 6 events to 1 event

Which top 30 riders in EMX250 does this have an impact on? (As in having to move up)

So you got Jonass of the cliffs edge.

Not answering your question, but I don't necessarily think this is a good thing. Lot of upcoming young privateer guys that are over the age of 21 have no platform to try their wings after this rule change. Not to mention that EMX entry fee is 300€ per race and MX2 entry fee is 1000€ per race.

Only thing that would actually help to get more riders to MX2 and MXGP starting gates would be prize money. The system is fundamentally broken, fooling around with age limits doesn't help anyone.

What makes you think a rider of that age is going to have a successful international career in MXGP? The ship has sailed by that point. If you haven't shown promise by 16 internationally, becoming a professional MX racer is not a good choice fo your life. Doing the ADAC, French or Dutch Championship as an expensive hobby might be a better one.

I would say lower entry fees would get more on the start line, unless the prize money went down to say, 30th place.

The top 10 will always be the same riders whether there is prize money or not.

In our experience we see that when deciding between a partial MX2 season vs an EMX250 season, the tuning costs associated with MX2 is more of an issue then the costs of the wildcards. Thats because many riders in EMX250 don't have the 'a-package' in terms of tuning, which is an absolute necessity in MX2 (+ if you do wildcards at gp's nearby you save a lot of money on travel days & travel costs when doing the emx250 rounds which are all over europe)

The only way the age rule change for EMX250 makes any sense is when they change MX2 to 23.

The crooks of infront and loungo are scrambling to get riders on the gate now, the shit show right now of 20 riders is going to kill the interest in mxgp. Who would pay 1000 and no prize money to do a race? they are delusional. Until they bring down the entry fees riders will just do the local championships which makes sense.

There should be No age limit in MX2!

EMX250 dropping from 23 to 21 will do SFA in bringing more entrants to MX2.

Lower Entry Fees, Prize Money and Real Travel Assistance is what is needed - for both MX2 and MXGP.

But no, Luongo / InFront, want all the money they can get - f**k the participants ( and thus, the Sport ) , basically.

The Luongos and the various Companies they have had, or represent, are Vampires on our sport .
