It’s kind of a lose-lose situation for me with this bike- I want to restore it and build a beautiful bike, however if I do that I wont want to ride it, and if I do ride it I will feel guilty about it. Not because of all the money and work that would have gone into it, but because I know with each passing year the chances of me finding parts for it is dwindling.
After seeing this thread I’m really starting to regret buying a 2020 rmz…. Very disappointed in Suzuki but if they don’t care why should I. Going to be tough to switch brands but it’s gotta happen wether I want it to or not.
As far as the 4 strokes, yeah... Suzuki has not been good with their money it seems.
I want two strokes for their simplicity, so Yamaha is probably the way I'll go eventually. I know the Austrian stuff is new and updated, but the Yami suspension is good, they are possibly more reliable.

It appears like ARI the company that builds the on line system that most of the industry uses that we see has some glitches not showing all years or models that Suzuki offers. With all the new 2023 models being released the system is in the rebuild mode.
For anyone to think parts availability problems are just a Suzuki issue you need to check around. Right now our biggest problem with backorders is Husqvarna.
Disappointing from a 2014 Suzuki owner and die hard (never owned another brand). Thinking of building an RCH or Stew replica bike out of it and parking it...
Wanted to bump this to see if RMZ owners were still having trouble getting/finding OEM parts. I’m very tempted to pull the trigger on an RMZ right now but some of the posts here have me a little concerned.
Zero issues for my pops. Has absolutely no problem getting parts for his 450
Paul at Armored Graphix in NC has a ton of OEM Suzuki parts at 50% off. I considered buying another Suzuki just because I could get OEM stuff cheap.

As someone that bought a lightly used RMZ 250 a year ago, I will say it depends on the price. There is definitely less aftermarket parts available than other manufacturer's, some companies won't make products for the Suzuki, but make the same products for every other manufacturer..that's a little telling.
For a while Rockymountain and Motosport did not have the 2019+ RMZ 250 parts diagrams show up for OEM parts, which sounds like it was a glitch (see above), but still just a bit more of hassle tracking down parts. Looks like right now Rockymountain and Motosport still ommit the RMZ 250 unless you look specifically for a 2022. Partzilla does work, as listed above also by hasletjoe.
I had to buy a new clutch cable and Motion Pro had zero clutch cables listed for a 2019 RMZ 250, after calling them they do have an OEM style and a T3 clutch cable that fit a 2019 RMZ 250, but they didn't have either clutch cables listed online before my call. That is just one example where it take some time calling/asking questions to confirm if some aftermarket parts will fit.
I’m waiting for my contact at the dealer to get back to me. The listed pricing they have for a brand new 22 250 and 22 450 bought together would cost less than a brand new KTM. If that is for sure their pricing and not too much more for OTD total, I will be buying both

Tons of parts for the 06 RM250 cross over to other bikes. Forks are the same as 06 CRF450R and half the price from Honda. Throttle crosses to a YZ. It isn't optimal as you just have to do some digging but, stuff is available. Just about everything other than cast parts and gears can be bought of the same or better quality aftermarket. I have had mine for over 10 years and haven't had any issue getting parts. The only thing that was causing me grief was getting a PC pipe. Then again, I can't get one for my new Gas Gas either.
The issue isn't Suzuki's parts availability. They forecast and inventory in a couple of parts warehouses across the U.S. like any other OEM, and occasionally something will be backordered and have to come from Japan. The issue seems to be most major parts retailers use a 3rd party platform to display parts. Any Suzuki dealer can log on to Suzuki Connect and pull up schematics, retail, and inventory in the U.S. warehouses, but whatever company is hosting the schematics for retail sites has determined they don't need to bother adding current year model Suzuki's. Which sucks, because then you get threads like this that could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I have several Suzukis and have had no parts problems, They've all been reliable for me!
The UK isn’t a MX hotbed like the USA is and even we don’t have trouble finding parts.
you just need to use a Suzuki dealer rather than the big online retailers who probably see little value in spending time uploading low turnover parts.
I was just taking to him yesterday about all the Suzuki parts he has!
