Bike sounds like a write-off to me ... I'll swing by and pick it up right now, lol! What a cool bike to have in storage for so long. If it were mine, I'd just bleed fresh fluid through the system and ride happy as long as you have a good amount of resistance at the lever once you're done. If you're a brake dragger or going to be racing, might be worth rebuilding to be on the safe side.

Change that fluid out. The old stuff has probably absorbed a bunch of humidity by now and will likely bubble up in use.

What Falcon said. Brake fluid pulls moisture from the air, which will boil and cause fade or even total loss of braking. Flush both ends and after that long, I’d rebuild calipers/masters and do new lines.

1000x easier to get the current silencer rebuilt. In 2006 the 2x silencer mounts are on different sides of the subframe tube. In 2007 they changed so they are both on the same side of the subframe tube (in-line with each other). -After market companies do not realize this - and only sell silencers with the mounts in line with each other... This would mean you need to get an engineer to change the bracket closest to the engine - so its on the other side of the subframe tube.. It can create a large hassle compared to just rebuilding...

Revving the champs bike with the champ at the MXDN. Doesn’t get any better than that as a fan.

This is why I tell people be careful with the "grow the sport" BS, if you want motocross to be as big as football you can kiss experiences like this goodbye. That's a lifetime memory for anyone that was lucky enough to be there I'm sure and we shouldn't take that stuff for granted.

OP.....pretty cool that you had that moment. Thanks for sharing. This kind of thing wouldn't happen at the Superbowl, any "bottom-feeder" breaking into the illuminati circle would spend the night in jail and be brought up on charges. It's why your moment makes our sport that much more genuine.

A friend of mine took a video of the whole celebration/bike revving, looked like a hell of a good time I wish I was there! Watching everyone take turns revving the piss out of that thing was insane, random people from the crowd were jumping on and they even stopped mid way through to put more gas in it so they could rev it more. It was cool to see everyone let loose and just go nuts for a bit after an incredible year.

Not a popular opinion, I know, but Im with Matthes and Lars on this one...seems a bit childish/stupid to me. You have these expensive bikes and they just blow it up???
