I’ll admin, or be one of the admins for it. I run and am on Strava about everyday.

Three best tape measures I have are from working in a cabinet shop.. They're standard on top, metric on the bottom. As a trim carpenter I always hated 1/8, 1/16, 5/16, etc. MM is totally easier and more precise.

I use garmin, keep it private. Used to have it push to Strava, but felt that got to facebookish for me, and dropped Strava. I like the idea of this thread here though.

I try to jog 1000+ miles a year. I ran for 1040 days straight, but fell asleep one evening in May and ended that streak. Started another one, but at only 40 days in, I ripped my ballsack last Thurs. while road biking and got 12 stitches. And well, I'm starting over again in probably a week. Worst thing besides sitting down, is that I was supposed to go open water swimming in Lake Huron Saturday, but with stitches that's a no-no.

Keep moving, that's my motto. Move until I'm 80+ is the goal Smile

Ripped your ballsack while road riding? I am in pain for you just reading that. How?

Wrong clothes. Was riding just a mile to watch a little league game. Bunnyhopped a pot-hole, caught balls on the tip of the seat and 1" tear with lots of blood was result. I've not been making the best choices this summer. But, still kickin and haven't went to jail, so I guess I better try harder one way or the other! lol

Not my best 5000m time, hadn't been on the rower in a few weeks.. For my age group (59) 60 in Nov I'll take it. Need to post a 500m and 1000m times.

Whips you made me go for it again. I wasn’t doing the rower today until you beat my times.
Wait till you see my 1000m time. Photo finish!

Ok I went for the 500 and 1000m rows because of Whips times.

I’m laying on the ground heart about to explode as I post this lol. I cranked the setting up to 9 to experiment and it definitely helped with my naturally slower stroke per minute pace to get a faster split time it seems.

Very nice times! However we’re not looking for all time PRs, we’re looking for what you’ve most recently been able to get out and do (within a week time span), and use it as a base for improvement.

Those times are 40 years old, would be nice if I could still run, just mt biking and a little moto at Spring Creek +60 class these days.

Any runners interested in a running category? Maybe yz133 would be open to making this a sort of complete fitness thread

Maybe some general fitness tests too; like say
Your best time for
100 push-ups
100 sit-ups
100 squats
something like that
100 squats I,m out. Replace that with a 40 or 100 spirint I take that easily. My dr in a diff network pulled up my report from my other dr and X-rays. They never said my lower 5 vertebra r trashed but I could feel it. 8-4 the dr for my 4th exam says your neck is full of arthritis too. There giving me crap for being lean, saying you need to bulk up. My bp was 110 ovr 64 at the 7am apt. I did get my wt down for racing thinking I would heal up quick from back, neck and knee. Pt ,s solution for a knee cap that pops off to the side is to tape it in place, idiots. I told them day 1 inject all 3 injuries. Instead I,m on a burnout pt program 2 apts 8-4 at 7am and 10.30. I may hv to hand from a bar and stretch my back a lot just to do speed sit-ups . For 1 hr get the stomach strong to ovr come a junk back.

A rowing machine is a fantastic way to workout for strength and cardio in one shot plus is easy on your joints. Another bonus is you can get a hard workout in a short amount of time. It's freaking tough though!

Finally had time to get out and go for a bike ride this morning! I wanted to get out during the week once but work & life got in the way.

I would for sure love to upgrade my mountain bike but for what it is it’s been good for the last few years. I’ve got my eye on a Trek Marlin 8! Would love to have a road bike too. That ride was a little rough but I powered through it. Took a two minute break 43 minutes in, snapped a picture and chugged some water then took off. Need to start eating better too. Met up with my brother in law last night and had this amazing tenderloin and 3 beers. So that’s gotta stop! Lol

But really it was fun being back out on my bike and sweating my ass off. Good humid morning here in Ohio. Need to keep at it!

Ugh I need to get back on the rower.. I’m 54 and up until 2 years ago I rowed 2-3 times a week. Back surgery made me start switching up my cardio . I used to row 5000 consistently under 19 minutes.. I guess I got to start somewhere..Thanks for the motivation. Going to see how much I can improve in a month.

Thursday we did a 1200m row as part of leg day. I couldn’t remember what the distances were on here and signal sucks there so I couldn’t check. Not this weekend, but maybe next I’ll try and hop on the rower and get a 500m and 1000m time.

Here’s 1200m anyways since I took a pic. The last few hundred sucked bad.

Just send it boys. I gained 30lbs since January. The only records I’m setting are eating contests and guilt trips.

I’m not far behind ya.  Since first of Nov.  I’ve packed on about 15 pounds if I had to guess.  I look like an old pregnant man at the track.  I needed to drop weight to start with.  I’ve one several eating contest lately and I did it all by myself!!

Saw this thread a while back and sparked some motivation to try hard. How does this stack up on the leader board?
